Does anyone else miss winter?

I can't stand the heat. I really can't. I like the whole aspect of no school, going swimming, and getting a tan part of summer, but I really miss the cold and cozy winter.

Am I the only one? 🙁

I too have a soft spot for winter, but I'm quite enjoying summer at the moment! Both winter and summer have their ups and downs, and I think they're the perfect distance apart so just as I'm getting sick of one we start changing into the other!

I am NOT enjoying waking up stupidly early though because my room is so hot. I live in 'east view' so my room has the sun glaring through the window every morning, so not only the brightness wakes me up but it heats the room up like a bloody greenhouse. And I have to sleep with the window open and the bloody dawn chorus wakes me up every morning. Let me sleep, summer!!

Apart from that, I'm cool with it!

Dear God YES! I am sick of this rotten, sticky Summer. A Christmas song came on my shuffle today and I nearly wept I wanted it to be Christmas so much 😛

I am officially over Summer.

I love summer!
I hate being cold!

And I hate driving in snow. Snow is evil!

But I do like to watch the snowflakes fall and drink hot chocolate and bundle up and read a book.

So there is that. 😀

I LOVE SUMMER! I would rather it be 100 degrees (F) than 65 degrees (F). I hate the cold. It was 97 today and it felt great. My favorite temperature outside is like 89/90. My favorite temperature inside is like 80. So.... haha

I miss winter so damn badly. I hate the heat. Its evil. Only thing I hate is driving in the snow, especially since I dont have four wheel drive.

Ugh, I agree. My room is so bloody hot it's like an oven. I also get direct sunlight in my room which makes it worse. I really need to get curtains.

I miss winter so much. 🙁 I could just easily open the window for 5 minutes and then I'd be perfectly cool. In summer, I have to constantly spray myself with a water bottle. -_-

My favorite time of the year is the fall and winter. I used to jokingly say that it was because it was easier to carry concealed weapons under a heavy coat, but the truth is, I just hate the heat, and on top of heat, Georgia has this god-awful HUMIDITY! As my dear old mother used to say, you can always put on more clothes, but there's a limit to just how much you can take off.

My daughter in law, however, is exactly the opposite. She's from Indonesia, and it just can't get too hot for her. She's miserable in winter.

I'm perfectly fine with summer, winter annoys me far too much - I just don't like snow or cold.

I mean, it's great the first snowfall of the winter, but then it gets all dirty and mucky and if it rains then it gets all slushy and you have to walk around with heavy coats and boots and crap and driving though snow and waiting for your car to get started in the cold and...

Yeah.

I do really like spring and autumn though. Rain and colourful leaves make me happy 😛

WINTER IS MY FAVORITE SEASON (if we're not including Christmas season that is 😉 ). I love just sitting in my house cozied under a blanket in sweats or pjs, drinking hot cocoa while it's snowing out. I hate being sticky in the summer. Although, like you said, I do love to tan/swim/be out of school/etc, but I hate the heat.
Then again, I DO love winter a lot, but I get sick of that after a little while, too.

I hate summer weather!! It's hot and gross and nothing makes me want to spend time indoors more than hot, super sunny weather. I love fall and winter. Granted, I live in California so it doesn't snow or get under 50 degrees, but I love it that way. California fall/winter seasons are the best.

Well we're in the middle of winter. I dont really miss the blistering heat of summer but I do miss being able to put my clothes on the line and actually have them dry! We're having a pretty mild winter, nothing too cold and not tons of rain, although it is raining today (YAY!). Im pretty sure our winter temps are still warmer than Englands summer temps 😛 but that doesnt seem to be too hard.

What you said.
I really miss winter. 100 degrees every day sucks.

I don't like summer, there are spiders everywhere.

This. Summer brings out more of the lovely wildlife in my area. Spiders and snakes everywhere! Meh, more reason to stay locked in my house with the A/C cranked to 75 degrees. 😎

I think I really just don't like being uncomfortable.

In winter I get too cold, in summer I get too hot... I'm kind of like goldilocks, always looking for just right.

I find that every season has some just right days, so that's nice.

I'm so done with summer. I'm sick of the heat.

And I'm pretty much naturally pale, so I don't tan very easily. And all of my friends are tanned during the summer and I'm not. 🙁 So at least in winter, it's okay that I'm pale.

Yeah! I go from pale to not as pale!
I well take my 100°F plus days (38-40°C) over winter any day of the week! Although spring and fall are even better.

Currently going on like 25 days in a row of 100° temps. I could use some rain and cooler weather, but after living in upstate NY before (awful!) and after the blizzards we have experienced here the last two years, I will NEVER wish for winter again!
