I Seek The Musical Knowledge Of The BB. (Sequel to a 2004 thread).

Whoa, I thought this thread had died. 😛 Thank you for the revive, Jill Valentine. :: tu :: How's that Zeppelin workin' out for ya?
You should give the band Rush a try sometime, if ya haven't already. And while Peter Frampton is a Rock legend, a lot of the younger folks find him a bit of an acquired taste. Listen with an open mind.

Haven't forgotten, I'm waiting on a buddy to burn me some CD's. Just so ya know. 😀

Musical appreciation again....yay!

What else can I add?

Screaming Jets....sure they're a little old school....but it's a pretty good school if you ask me. 😉

Mellowing out though...Pete Murray, Josh Pyke, Jack Johnson and Jose Gonzalez are constants on my lazy Sundays. Love 'em.

Some good bands...

Yes. One of Joss Whedon's favorite bands (the name Mutant Enemy was taken from their song "And You And I" and apparently he got a lot of inspiration for OMWF from their album Close To The Edge.)
Going for the One (my personal favorite)

Starship Trooper

Coheed & Cambria. A modern prog-rock band with some metal mixed in.

And one more...The Hush Sound. Pop-ish with amazing lyrics and a really unique and happy sound.

Off the top of my head and I may be repeating what's already been posted above...

Arctic Monkeys
Reverand and the Makers
Newton Faulkner
Nickleback
Mark Ronson (he's produced Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse)
Kate Nash
Lily Allen
Rihanna
Groove Armada

Anyway there who I love at the moment. Some have been out a while, but I'm slow to pick up on new bands and only find out about them about 6 months after they've released singles etc.... it's my age I think!!!
