If Angelus had gotten away in S4, would he have gone after Buffy? *S4 spoilers*

I think eventually Angelus would have made his way to Sunnydale to go after Buffy. I don't think he could resist tormenting her if he had the chance. It's obvious he still has somewhat of an obsession with her since Angel still loves her, so I think he'd definitely exploit that. As for whether or not Buffy would go after him if he didn't seek her out, I think she would. And I think she'd want to prove to herself that she could take him out this time before anyone she loved got hurt.

At some point, when he had set up a master plan which would give him as much advantage as possible, if it would serve some very important purpose of his own,Angelus might have gone back to Sunnydale, but he wouldn't have gone alone. He would have as formidable a force of minions as he could accumulate to act as his initial shock troops,inflicting as much damage as possible to Buffy and her friends, and definitely taking advantage of any weakened moment (If he had been around during the beginning of Season 6 with a decent team, our Slayer would have been toast)
If Angelus ever returned to the hellmouth, it wouldn't be for so simple a thing as revenge. Certainly,if given the opportunity,and it could be done in a way that he felt presented the greatest chance of success combined with the least possible personal risk to himself, he would seize the opportunity to extract his revenge, but that revenge would only be incidental to some other scheme, maybe another Armageddon or something close to it.
