Mhm, the "protecting his country"-thing.. I don't want to get into this argument again but.. I don't consider what Bush does is to "protect his country".
I'm not that fond of wars and Bush seems to like them a lot.. And I don't really agree with any of his other opinions either..
And no I don't really believe Bush to be an evil person since I don't even believe in that word. It was a bad choice of word, I've just never ever talked to anyone who likes Bush.. where I live he is sort of a joke and I've never met anyone who agrees with him.. That's why I have a hard time even taking him seriously, sorry.. (I know that's not a good thing.. not being able to take him seriously.)
I'm not saying I like Kerry either. Just saying I prefer him..

I was reading this book on optimism (or someone was telling me about it...) and it said that in every election since the advent of televised debates ('cept '68, likely because of all the riots in Chicago) the more optimistic candidate won.
So who is more optimistic, Bush or Kerry?

I would say Kerry, more optimistic. Don't know what Bush is but I wouldn't use the word optimistic.. heh.
If I lived in the USA I would vote Kerry, I don't like Bush, or many of the things that he stands for. I also do not like him as a person - no this isn't the reason why I wouldn't vote for him, but I believe it helps when voting for a president if you don't hate them.

The whole came back from war, insultated his fellow military officers and most likely caused more pain (emotional and physical, by themeselves and enemies) to the POW and other members of the army who were in the war.
He just shouldn't have said the things he did. They were unforgivable.
It would have been less harsh to say that some of the members did bad things overseas, but yet he made an accusation against the entire military of the United States.
Which is some effed up ****.
My brother said the only reason Kerry is running is because he thinks he is better then Bush cuz he won 3 purple hearts. I would vote for Kerry, just cuz I have no clue who that Ralph guy is and I hate Bush. My opinion: A three year old can be a better president then Bush!
