He didn't like to dwell on his military career, yet he served his country with honour. He's one of the few people (whom I didn't know in real life) who will always have my unconditional respect.

Rest in power, soldier. You are greatly missed.

By coincidence, I came across one of White Avenger's great reflective posts today, written in 2012 for the discussion of The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco: "I realize that there are more years in my past than remain in my future, and thinking back to the "good old days' is something that I find myself doing more and more."

White avenger was a close friend of mine, and I'm absolutely gutted he is gone.

He was one of the first people who I started talking to on here, and him and me exchanged dozens of private messages over the years, and discussed the series in likely hundreds of threads, but I'd like to share this lovely message he sent me a while back, in June of 2020:



Hey, I know that this is a couple of days late, and I don't even know when you'll get it, but it's Friday,6/12 , and, slow brained as I am, I just remembered that you live in Seattle, and might be close to all the craziness that's been going on there lately. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family, and I really do hope that, whatever side of this mess you're on, whatever tour politicsyou will be safe and come through this okay.

Once again, this is brief, but I just wanted you to know that I will be thinking about you.

Spuffy now, tomorrow, and always,

He's referring to the protests that were going on then for Black Lives Matter, of which I was involved in, though he didn't know that. He was such a great friend, and though we didn't agree on everything, I knew he cared about me. I really miss him.

I never knew he lived in Rome! I lived in Marietta, not 40 minutes from him between 2014-2016! I can’t believe we were so close yet never knew it. He was such a great part of this board and is so very much missed. ❤️

Thank you to everyone for sharing. I do miss White Avengers presence on here. I will always remember his love for Edgar Rice Burroughs's novel. I still haven't read the Tarzan books like he recommended to me, but I did finally read The Princess of Mars in honor of him.

After hearing about White Avenger's passing and speaking to the mods @Mehansa and I thought it could be a nice idea to celebrate the things about Buffy that White Avenger loved and the things that kept him coming back to post for 14 years on this amazing board.
Over the next two weeks, everyone is welcome to post in this thread related to the things White Avenger enjoyed for example favorite ships, characters, or episodes.
We didn't know him personally but looking at his profile his favourite characters were Spike, Faith, Fred, and Illyria so I'm thinking we will produce something related to them this week.
I'm not very artsy so it will probably be an appreciation post but apk mod android could also be cool 🙂 Anything is welcome!

It's always heartwarming to see a community come together to celebrate the life and passions of a beloved member. It's a great idea to create a thread where everyone can share their favorite things about Buffy that White Avenger loved. It's a fitting tribute to someone who dedicated so much of their time and energy to this community.

I think focusing on White Avenger's favorite characters is a great way to start. Spike, Faith, Fred, and Illyria are all fantastic characters with rich storylines and complexities. I'm sure there are many fans who share White Avenger's love for them and will be eager to share their thoughts and favorite moments.
