If there is a serious, well thought out attempt, which I doubt, it won't be during the first year. That's how long it'll take the Secret Service to relax their vigilence slightly.
Yeah, i'm watching it, one of the commentators on sky news is really annoying. "The cars are new, and they are heavy" - No shit Sherlock. I'm enjoying it though. History in the making, and all that.
 
Though I have no desire to talk politics on this board (I get more than my fill of it elsewhere), I will say that I voted for him, and am quite happy to see this day come.

I hope that a year from now I'll be feeling the same way.

I was watching Fox earlier and it was hilarious. They hired a black republican to discuss Obamas inadequacies!

Im not watching. I'm a bit lazy and I should clean my room out a bit and do some writing, and turning the tv on now could just mean that I'm not gonna do anything useful today. But, when I'm done I will definitely try to catch some bits, maybe on the news, or internet, or whatever. I deffo want to see/hear his speech. Don't care much about what they're wearing or about the cars. 😉

Lol, I switched over to CNN after posting that, for the authenticity, y'know? This is so much more fun.

And now on FOX they're admiring the moving vans. I so wish I was American sometimes.

I totally agree. Like him or not, there was something a bit special about Obama's campaign and how it touched people. Something that I can't help but feel that Brown and Cameron are....er....lacking. Maybe it's money. Maybe it's sunshine. I don't know. We could do with a shot of whatever it is though.

I think its Patriotism.

They wear it all over.
They ram down your throats that this is your country and that they are your choice to lead it to a better future.

Our policians don't have to do that because we vote in a party who decide who will lead them and the ones that will lead are in the safest seats possible so they really don't have anything to lose.

If Labour lose tomorrow, Gordon Brown is still an MP and probably becomes a Lord.

Most overrated and overplayed day in history. I MIGHT turn the channel to NBC later. But odds are, The X Files and Veronica Mars will keep me company today. Oh, and I've been out of school for SEVEN days now, because South Carolina can't handle snow fall.
