Intelligent People (Who Say Stupid Things)

Jacob: Jesus, Grace is so gullible.
Grace: (turning around) What are you talking about?
Me: Nothing.
Grace: Oh, okay.

I may be reasonably smart, sometimes. But, I am SO gullable. It's such a bad trait.

People say all sorts of crap to me, and I'm like "Aww, wow, no shit? Really?" Then I go off telling everyone all this new, amazing info I've found out. My family constantly take the piss out of me, bastards.

Some of the things I have believed, and told the world:
That Alfred Hitchcock and Adolf Hitler were brothers.
Mice can only have 3 babies, then they die.
Libraries don't employ men.
Too much vinegar gives you a hole in your heart.

Does my stupidity EVER end?!?!?!

I can't even spell "gullible"...

That's how you spell it, right?

Way to make yourself look like an ass, Jen.

Ok, sorry for the double post.. But, I just did something very stupid, apparently.

My parents actually shouted at me, it was that stupid..

All I done was toast some waffles in the toaster..but they got stuck, and I tried to get them out with a knife.. Apparently, that's not cool, electricity and that. Geez, calm down 'rents. How am I supposed to know about knives and toasters?!

i was getting breakfast yesterday from a shop outside my work, i was getting toast and they were toasting it (on kinda like a grill, not an actual toaster) but then the girl serving me was like. "Howcome i can use tongs to get toast out of a toaster but not a knife?"

And then i was like

And yeah i dont know why either....

OHhh I got one for you..

Last year my husband and I moved to Hawaii and when I told a friend of mine that we were doing so she goes "Oh so you'll be on the other side of the country by Florida now! That's so far!" ........................

Well I should add that she's not so much on the intelligent side to begin with 😉 But still. It's one we'll never get over.

I actually don't get it.

I have this friend named Adam Kircher. We call him Kirch so when somebody called him "Kircher" this girl in my chem class says:

"Oh my God, you're name is Kirch Kircher?!"

That one reminds me of a girl I went to high school with, though she wasn't intelligent to begin with so she doesn't quite fit the theme of the topic. Anyway, here's a couple gems she gave me?

"I never realized you two were brothers." - This, she said, to identical twins from Thailand.
"Did you ever notice economics is kind of like Monopoly?" - In Economics class

Man, she used to make me laugh. Those are the only two I can remember right off the top of my head.

Classic!
Bush ones said something like this:

"I have my own opinions. There are many, and I don't always agree with them, but they are mine."

Also his comment about the white house: "It's white"

This was actually my blonde moment but I'm willing to let you laugh at me. 🙂

Me: Did you know that John Travolta can sing?
Kristin: What?
Me: Yeah I just heard a song he sang with Miley!
Kristin: Well he was in Hairspray...
Emily: And Grease...
Me: Ohhhhh yeahhh!

One day during P.E. this happened:

Friend: Hey, did you know that if you say "pizza" slowly it sounds like "gullible"?
Me: Piiiiiiiiiiizzzzzaa-- HEY!
Friend: :lmao:

nerd4hire agrees: He's on the previous page of this thread. The above is a reply.

I understand that, but it disgusts me to see you post your "reply" so quickly, as if you're defending yourself somehow. But, whatever, I like Obama.

Ok, gotcha. I guess if I keep typing I'll be adding to this "stupid things" thread, so I'll stop now.

Spoony, Aussie, and Lou.

There. I give you intelligent people who just so happen to say stupid things.

That is so true! I'd also like to add Randiann to that list, but I feel like I'd be lying! (sw)

Today our profess or was talking about why you shouldn't use Wikipedia as a source. He put it on the screen and asked us for an example. Someone talked about the American civil war. He typed in 'civil war' into Wikipedia and started ranting and talking about how the picture wasn't even accurate towards the American civil war. Someone had to point out to him that the was on the "civil war" page and not the "AMERICAN civil war" page. He was quiet. t_t
