Certain places pandered to the woke mob, crime skyrocketed, certain places have decided that defunding the police wasn't such a good idea and want to fund them again to tackle the high crime rates, woke mob start kicking off again. This is what's happening in Portland.

"Certain places" is not America though. "Certain places" isn't even the United States, let alone America. Certain places in the United States were hardly even phased by any of the things you mention, and I'm sure many places in America weren't phased

@Spanky I was being polite saying "certain places" rather than listing all the democrat run cities because this thread is not the place for that.

I was being polite in saying that the United States is not synonymous with America. For instance, Chile and Brazil are America, too. It's a pet peeve that people erroneously call the US America. They are two different things.

@Spanky Please respond in a post rather than in a comment. The US is the United states of AMERICA. Chile and Brazil are South America. The two places are separated by Mexico. When people say America, they are talking about the US, not south America.

I think we have a member here on BB who practices either fencing or kendo, and I did mean to share her earlier, but forgot in all the other names. I've been thinking about it off and on, and since I still am, I figured I'd go ahead and share while it's still women history month. She seems geared to Buffy fans in that she's a fencer who is also stylish...and personally, I'm impressed that she managed to excel when she didn't even get introduced to fencing until age 18 (though I attribute that to her dance training from before, as does she).
