Is Buffy your favourite character?

Buffy is my favourite character, i feel i can relate to her more and understand the character and the decisions she made throughout the seasons. Faith comes in an extremely close second though.
 
Buffy had some great episodes centering around her character in the first 4 to 5 seasons, and she was always really spritely and energetic. She is my favourite female character in those series, but then in the later series my favourite is Anya, for she became the more spritely personality in these series.

Yes she is, not because of her looks. but more of her acting talent.
like in BTvS, she was not Sarah Michelle (prince) Gellar, she was buffy.
i believe BtVs without SMG would maybe i think end after the first season.....

She's not my favourite character but that's just because she's not as witty as Spike or Anya. She's definitely up there in my top 4 though.
 
Uhm.. I don't know actually.. When I started watching Buffy many years ago I wanted to be her, she was my role model.. But as time passed by I found her more complicated.. She is definitely one of my favorite characters, but not the favorite.. sometimes she does stuff I don't really understand.. Like treating Riley and Spike badly.
 
Buffy is my favorite character! FAVORITE. She means so much to me I can't even say. Just. Look at her heroism. How she loves so much and so few people can see it, but she'll do it anyway because it's who she is. Look at everything she gave up, watch how she mourns, and then watch how she grows stronger. That woman is amazing.

I get how some people say they can't relate to her, (because really- who can measure up to the Slayer 😛) but she most definitely is the character I want to become like. One of my first real heroes.

OMG ME TOO. Like, okay I really shouldn't cause it's irrational and everyone has their preferences and all of that...but BUFFY IS MY GIRL. OKAY. AMAZING. SHE'S STUNNING. I LOVE HER.

I was actually shocked when I read that people didn't find her character developed enough. They must be watching a different version of BtVS, lol!

^i kid, i kid. 😉 love Buffy, but I...guess it's okay if you don't see her like I do. *weeps*
 
Spike's my favorite. But Buffy's my second favorite. And I too get upset when people say they hate Buffy. I also get upset and really defensive when people start talking nonsense like "Faith's better than Buffy." She and I are very alike. I'm like the Spuffy love child. So naturally, they're my two favorite characters. =]

Without Buffy there would be no show - so, of course, she's awesome.

I like Buffy - she's a complex character that is interesting and at times frustrating, but relatable.
 
Yes, tied along with Angel probably Buffy is definitely my favourite character. I just love everything about her most of the time and I usually disagree with people when they say there are times they dont like her. An example would be when most people take pleasure out of the verbal beatdown she got from everyone before she was kicked out in 'Empty Places' but I actually felt very sorry for her and was definitely on her side. She is so strong and the fact that she will do anything to protect the people she loves (The Gift, Spike in S7, Angel in S3) not to mention the fact that she risks her life every night for people she doesnt even know. Best character in television history for me. Bar none 😀

I like Buffy a lot. But she never really became a favorite for me. Willow and the others just seemed more interesting. I'm not sure what it really was about Buffy for me that she never became my favorite character.
 
I'd say Buffy is my favorite character, more in the odd-numbered seasons. When she's trying to be hard, she loses me. I love her when she "leads with her heart," as some people say. In the early episodes of S7, I love her with an all-consuming passion. It's harder to love her after the potentials arrive.
 
Buffy is my fave character from the show 🙂.

She has so many things I like about her and was one of my idols growing up. Yeah, sometimes I question the things she does or says, but she's always been my fave character since eps 1.
 
No, she isn't. But I really like her.
It's just this thing of mine that the main character of a series or a movie as good as never happens to be my favorite character.
I don't know what it is, but it's like that. At least in most cases.

And I'm also trying to keep the number of my 'favorite characters' as small as possible.
If I added Buffy, I'd have to add for example Oz, because I like him as well.
If I added him, I'd have to add perhaps Spike and then again someone else and so on.😕
So I'll just stick with my three favorite characters Willow, Xander and Giles.🙂

But still, I like her and I don't have anything against her.
(except maybe how she acts towards the end of Season 7. I think it's in the episodes 'Empty Places' and 'Touched'. But that's it.)
