Is Faith bisexual

They have been known to in college; it is called sexual experimentation. They also experiment with the drugs and drinking, does not mean they have addict qualities about them.

Your comparison leaves open to suggestion that IF a person continues with drugs or drink post experimentation then they are addicted. This is not ALWAYS the case.
Just like if a lady tastes another ladies love wings, it doesn't mean if she continues to she will be gay - just open to possibilities.

Bisexual, by its very definition is someone who has or does have sexual intercourse with with members of both genders.
I haven't read the comics but I am fully aware of Buffy's little love in with Satsu.
This makes her bisexual. This also makes Willow bisexual.

I think Faith is open to it, but she prefers the company of men. So I think she's leaning on straight.

I think we have had time and again evidence that Faith is 'open' to it. She might have no issue with it BUT she has never really expressed a wish to have sexual intercourse with a woman.

I am pretty sure that somewhere on this thread someone (probably N4H) has given enough points to quantify this statement including, dare I say, something from the Faith arc in the comics.

Faith always has been a sexually charged person, I've never really felt that she has an issue with sex of any kind because she doesn't attribute any emotion to it - I believe that this is because she is the Slayer of old, how the Shadowmen wanted the Slayer to be, 'The Lone Wolf' if you will - so I don't believe she would have any issue getting down and dirty with a female women, if she was so inclined.

See what I did there, took a character that has never really had the bisexual/gay discussion and made the same comment as you. Well then, open up threads for ALL the main and smaller characters about them being bisexual because we can read 'subtext' everywhere.

With the exception of 'orang-utan' (which we know she isn't) we only have the evidence that is presented.

Faith has not shown any tendancies to being bisexual or gay, just being very sexual with men - which in the bizarro world or mens fantasies obviously equates to her having sex with women as well.

As for the 'subtext' well that is open to interpretation.
The problem with subtext being used as an argument is that you have no proof.

Was there chemistry between Buffy and Faith? Yes, but why does it have to be sexual?
They share one thing that no one else in the world does, they share The Slayer.

There is conclusive proof that upto and including now Faith has had no desire to sleep with a woman (yes, when people say something then that is proof enough considering they haven't shown any deviation from that in nearly a decade) yet people cling to this desire to see her become bisexual because of some 'subtext' and they can't even prove it.

Thats it now.

If you think you can prove Faith is bisexual, I dare you to. Show me something conclusive, show us all something conclusive. Not love hearts on windows, not dream sequences, actual bona fide proof.

The onus is now on you guys.

I don't read the comics. I just heard of Buffy sleeping with a slayer named Satsu, but I wouldn't know what has been said.

There is nothing wrong with being bisexual but there is something wrong with forcing it onto someone when they clearly argue they are not.

I've always thought that the writers made sure that there was sexual tension between them. On the Imdb boards people even gave quotes (with evidence of said quotes) from writers showing this.

This doesn't stop the writers having good ideas to follow BUT they still have to check with him and IF canonically we have Faith still arguing her sexuality is hetero, then we take it as read that she is exactly what is said on the tin.

As far as I'm concerned It's what she is...I've always assumed so. What Joss says is irrelevant. She could be gay, she could be a tranny or she could be straight, but it's up to viewers to decide.

I shan't be trawling the imdb threads to find it because as I said, if there was actual evidence, it would be here.

I saw N4H was replying to this thread, I am sure he is about to post it so no harm no foul.

I have never thought anything. I don't think its impossible that Faith wouldn't be bisexual, I just think that with the text as it is there is no evidence to support it. People don't say it is possible, they claim it as fact and that is where I have the issue. Show me evidence that supports it and thats fine, but until then, its just opinion.

As for Faith herself, well we do know she is a very sexual person, I personally believe that people misconstrue that to suggest she is bisexual.

My ultimate fantasy would be watching Faith and season 5 Willow doing the dirty but I am not going to let my personal fantasy colour the facts we have.
