Can't say that I get pestered with questions about why I'm not married.
Not getting married is not an issue here (and being a guy helps too I guess)
But not being in a relationship, not having kids and not having a house/garden seems to mean (for some anyway) that I must have unlimited time to either work extra or help out friends and family.
I've made an active choice to be single without kids so I can spend more time with my hobbies. Not so I can spend more time helping others.
Not that I don't want to help at times. It's just that I don't think I should need to do it more than those with families.
They have made their choice on how they want to spend their precious spare time, fixing the house, taking care of the kids etc.
My choice might be different but just as valid imho.
