Is Spike a misogynist and/or a slut?

Uh, yes they did. She hooks up with Wood in Buffy S7, and until he goads her into giving him a second chance, a relationship wasn't really on Faith's to-do list.

She was also really flirty with Spike. I think she would have gone there if Spike was willing but he only had eyes for Buffy. Faith does like to take things from Buffy.
 
Spike was a slut in the sense all unsouled vampires are sluts, it's part of the package deal. However, he was a lot less slutty than your average vampire. As a 1880's poet and a souled vampire he was definitely not a slut. I don't think he was misogynist, I think he was attracted to powerful women. He treated Harmony poorly because he had no respect for her and I can kind of see why.

Spike has issues getting along with others of either gender. He gets off on beating those that are perceived to be stronger than him. If they are women, the sexual component is definitely going to play into it because sex/power go together. There is sex/power issues in his relationships with men too but it's not as blatantly played out as sexual.

For many women, it's easier to play the power game with men via sex than physical sparring. When he finds a woman who is of superior physical strength as well it makes the game that much more fun for him, because he get off on both sides of the power play. It's a win/win for a guy who has self esteem, power and little man issues.

Because he's less interested sexually in men, getting the woman they can't is part of the sexual power play against them. Having Buffy was always part of the power struggle between him and Angel. Buffy was the ultimate trophy, a sexually desirable, super strong, smart opponent who also had the heart of Spike's ultimate rival.

Spike is a hot mess when it comes to any relationship. He doesn't like people in general and gets off by overpowering them. He doesn't seem to care which gender they are as long as he comes out on top.

Slut? What does that mean? That he'll have sex with whoever he finds attractive and gets the opportunity to shag? Yup, he is definitely that.

Where as I don't think he hates everyone, I think it's more Spike masks his insecurities by sarcasm and aggression. That and Spike is all about putting up a front. To be what he thinks a 'big bad' should be. Even souled he clung onto his masks and used them to shield himself.

Buffy brought out the best in him, and Angel (in AtS) the worst. 😀

Vamps don't care, they like you they'll turn and hump you, they don't then they'll kill you and have a laugh or just ignore you.

The misogynist thing...I don't see it, I just see Spike having a mountain of Mummy issues due to trying and failing to turn his own Mum. His macho swagger and bragging that is so much fake.
His tendancy to (unhealthily) idolize women that just aren't that devoted to him (Dru and Buffy) and treat like garbage those that are nice to him (Harmony) speaks to some deep psychological issues, but I wouldn't say 'hate'- too blanket a term.
Fascination would be a better term- for good or ill- of strong-willed women.
