James returns to the UK for an acoustic concert of old and new favourites at the Union Chapel on Friday, 1st May 2009, as part of a weekend of events.

Is anyone here going to try and come? I'm due a holiday soon, so I was thinking of spending it in London that week. I'm excited! :biggrin: Never seen James live before (well, why would I? I've been a fan for like two minutes, lol 😛 ). I wonder what the "events" are...

My Birthday is 2nd of May and I live in London.
Depending on the prices, I think I WILL go to this.

Ha - well, I'm not really the club-going type - just never really saw it as that appealing. But since it's you I may go. We'll see. 😉

I have wicked awesome mates and the club music isn't dance stuff, its a mix of 90's britpop, cheese, indie and a touch of R&B.

Trust me, you should convince a few others to come along with you, even if its just for the night out!
 
OK, im TOTALLY up for this. A quick trip down to london to enjoy to JM music, why wouldnt i be? Just gotta find a place to stay for the night i suppose.

I'll bet there's a cheap hostel around the area.

I'm definitely going!

Silum sleeps in a tent in the snow, I'm sure he can find somewhere warmer by the Thames.

Though you should do what I used to do when I came down to London for a night.

Book a train/coach early in the morning, leave a bag in a storage locker, go clubbing staying out all night (I know come clubs open until 6am on a Friday night/Saturday morning) then sleep on the journey home.
 
I would go if I hadn't just booked tickets for Hallowhedon, but my Mum wouldn't take me to London twice in one year. You guys have fun 😉
 
Another event has just gone on sale. This is for Sunday May 3rd. It's another concert, this time in the 100 Club which holds about half the amount of people of Union Chapel (about 800 I've read). I've just bought my ticket for that as well. Is that crazy? lol... I figure if I'm in London anyway I might as well attend as many events as possible even if they are a bit similar. :biggrin: But god, this is going to be strange for me; I've never gone to a concert alone in my life before let alone two...

Hi..Have you been to James gig before?..Don't worry about going on your own, plenty do. I'll be at both with lots of others.Come find us..just shout out...
