I didn't see a thread for her, but there may be one somewhere...hopefully not.

But, I was wondering what was up with her. Who is she? What is her purpose? All that kind of stuff...because I have only seen a few episodes in Season 4.

I would appreciate the help 😉
 
She is like a goddess back when humans didn't populate the Earth and there was just demons. Her purpose, well what she was aiming to do was to rid the world of suffering and illness etc but the downside was that she had to consume the souls of people everyday to keep healthy..kinda like Glory in the way that she had to brain suck all the time to stay sane 🙂

And she was now known as the one of the world's stupidest villian in Buffyverse. I hate her.
 
I totally agree Ayumi. She was one of the worst, possibly the worst. Ok she WAS the worst. I strongly disliked her, ok ok, I hated her.
 
I still don't think she was all that evil. I mean, world peace, no more hunger, disease, suffering and all for the price of twenty people a day getting there life sucked out. I'd say that is a bargain.
 
Hmm...thanks for the help. I've seen one episode with her in it and it was the one where they were talking about killing Fred.
 
Yeah, she was evil because she ate people's soul and had icky worms on her face. But that's why they got W&H, they were so good at destroying people's happiness.

I'm kinda mixed on if that's a decent price to pay... I'm leaning towards no though.
 
I wouldn't say she was totally evil, but she wasn't good either IMO. On one side you could say, what good is world peace if you are killing people for it. Is that really world peace? But on the other side of the argument, 20 people a day, thats 7,300 a year. 5 years of world peace would cause 36,500 deaths. That's much less than the amount that die in war, or other violent struggles every year.

So good or bad, that depends on your point of view. Either way, I still don't like her.
 
Am I the only one who liked Jasmine, I thought she was a neat creation. The going on's in previous seasons related to her, I fought that was clever!
 
I have to agree that you're alone in liking her. I enjoyed season 4 up until Jasmone came along. Then it became kinda boring. It was alway's good because David was in it, but with Cordy gone....and Conner all annoying...geez!!

Wasn't one of my faves storylines.
 
Wasn't she also one of the Powers That Be? I missed that episode, but I'm pretty sure she called herself the Original Power. Does that mean she was the first of the Powers? If so, it made a great contrast to Buffy season 7, in which the main villain was the First Evil.
 
She wasn't evil just because she ate people, it was also the fact that she forced people to love her. They didn't have a choice in the matter.
