I think it’s because they were actual friends, and not some weird romanticized “will they, won’t they”.

I think the writers are so used to that sort of thing nowadays that it just infects the writing. I agree that companions are way better when they’re just friends. Ex. Rose was kind of nice because she was just a pal to the Doctor. Trying to shoehorn romance into a show where the Doctor really isn’t a romantic creature is so weird

This!! Freema is a legend and her pining for the Doctor stunted her character in series 3. But I loved her comeback in series 4 and Torchwood series 2!

Matt still is the youngest Doctor- he got the role when he was 26.

Yeah I heard about House of the Dragon but since I haven't even seen Game of Thrones I didn't check it out. Me and @Mehansa watched Last Night in Soho for him- it wasted his talent but it was good to see him 😂

The Doctor and Donna were the best duo on the show- maybe because they're the ones I grew up with but I think they had such entertaining banter.

I want it like this again but different for whatever new circumstance they're in and however they've changed for the specials.

I want to rewatch that season when they are together.. season 4 I believe 🤔
