Kendra vs. Buffy. Who would win and why?

In the episode "Whats my line part 2" buffy and kendra talk about who would have won in a fight. It went like this....

Buffy: I woulda kicked your butt in the end, and ya know why? No imagination.
Kendra: [getting angry] Really? Ya tink so?
Buffy: [condescending] Oh, I know so. You're good, but power alone isn't enough. A good fighter needs to know how to improvise, to go with the flow. Seriously, don't get me wrong, you really do have potential.
Kendra: [angry now] Potential? I could wipe the floor with you right now.

I was just wondering who everyone thought might actually win in a fight. Personally, i actually liked the little bit of Kendra that ive gotten to know and thought she was a good fighter. I think if the situation came up and Kendra was out to kill buffy, i think that she probably would win because of her training and lack of emotions. She could put one of Buffy's friends in danger and that could encourage Buffy to fight recklessly and lose. Who do you guys think would have won?
 
Well, you would have to be more specific. How upset would Buffy be?

Although, from my experience, Buffy actually becomes a better fighter when upset.

If they both got to plan a attack against each other, I guess Kendra might win, because since she's been trained as a child, she might be better at sneak-attacks. Learn your enemies movies and rutines before striking and all that.

Without mind-games or planning, lock them into a room and have at it, my monies on Buffy. She has been proven to be a great fighter, who has killed beings older and more powerful than her(of course, often with the help of her friends).
 
I think that Buffy would win because she has been a slayer for longer and Buffy's just the BEST!!
Also her friends have been hurt a number of times and that made her perform better ... i think.
 
Buffy. She has a natural ability and fighting style that makes her THE slayer of all slayers. Everything about her and how her life has brought her people the she's close to gives her an edge because she knows what she's fighting for. That makes a difference IMO.
 
Yea. You guys are right lol. Ive changed my mind and now think that buffy would win. I was thinking about buffy's emotions and how they usually do make her stronger more than make her weaker. Ive been converted lol
 
I do think that if it was Kendra planning an attack on Buffy then she'd have a good chance of winning but I think ultimately Buffy is a stronger fighter maybe if Kendra had lasted a few more years she might have given Buffy a run for her money.

So, you're saying that if Kendra was alive she might beat Buffy?
Buffy would win, Its her show! 😉

haha but seriously, Buffy would definatly win. Shes the best of the best.
 
Moreover, I think that although it might be Kendra's strength that she was so trained and disciplined and stuff like that, when fighting a rather impulsive and chaotic fighter like Buffy (especially when she's all emotional, she tends to appear unorganised, I think), that could very well be a big disadvantage. Whereas Buffy wouldn't have much trouble figuring out how Kendra fights, Buffy's behaviour is generally more unpredictable, which would make it really difficult for Kendra. You get what I mean, yeah?

Well, Kendra has been raised to fight vampires, and sometimes they're all animal, which means that Kendra atleast should be able to fight people who are unpredictable.
 
Kendra has nothing to lose, which makes her a strong fighter, no family, friends or emotional ties.
This makes her very much all about the mission.
Buffy has those ties, friends, family, so she would have a lot to lose.
So losing nothing, or losing everything. Losing everything is more difficult imo, Buffy would not give those things up, so she would would fight with everything she had, to make sure she won.
Buffy would win.
 
Its got to be Buffy like everyone else. Whilst Kendra was a good Slayer for a while she wasn't the best. I put it down to her restrictions on life from how she was bought up. Sure she was trained from a very early age but she had no true life experiences that we know of. Buffy said that what makes her is her emotions give her power to keep fighting. Kendra sadly had to cut alot of those off to be well disciplined.

She'd make a great General in a big battle but Buffy would be the better Knight. Shes been the Slayer a lot longer, she knows how the game of good vs. evil works and has had more experience to drive her forward plus shes unpredicatable. Buffy doesn't always listen to authority or Giles whilst Kendra does everything by the book. Put Buffy and Kendra against one another and Buffy would literally wipe the floor with her.

Its fate really, now if it was Buffy vs. Faith again thats where things would be divided more but thats for another thread and season. 😀

Now THAT is a good question...and i definately know who would win that battle lol
 
I personally think Faith appears tougher because Angel makes her look that way. Did they have a bigger budget!? However, the question is about Kendra VS Buffy. I think that Buffy would totally win. She thinks on her feet!
 
like everyone (mostly) has said...it would be buffy. because of her ties to the world and because of her emotions and imagination, like she said to kendra.
