It was just announced that Kerry conceded to Bush. Bush is now the president of the US, right?

Bush is president anyway, he will be until January 20th. If Kerry has, in fact, conceded to Bush, then that would also make Bush the President elect and set us up for four more years of Bush (Incidentally, this would then be the first time since the founding of the US that we have had a two-term president directly following a two-term president).

Did he really concede? I can't find that anywhere. Not sure why he would, either, at least until Ohio is declared (by someone OTHER the FOX).

They just said it on the tv. Kerry is going to make a speech later on today.

Cnn only says that there was a phone call according to a white house aide. I'll give up hope when Kerry gets up to speak (well, technically I'll be in class, but by 3:30 at least.)

Yea I heard it on the radio...I didnt feel like watching TV lol 😛
I was hoping Bush would win again, I just didn't really feel that Kerry could have run the country...but who knows now.

Foxnews.com has announced Kerry's announcement of Conceit. Even if Kerry were to have won ohio, it wouldn't have been enough votes to give him the lead and Bush still would have one. I for one am relieved that not only is bush still president but that we won't have to endure that bloody recount again.

LOL! I know that's not what you meant (conceit), but I think you're right anyway! Hell either one of the two could make an announcement of conceit ( I know you meant concession, but you are soooooo right!!).

And eset, sorry, dear, but you're hope is in vain...there are not enough provisional votes in Ohio for Kerry to win (reported by Broadcast News here in Canada). So, it's Bush by a nose...at least it's a clear win this time, not like Florida in 2000.

All I have to say is that I feel sorry for you guys. 🙁 I offered Choco-milk but they all voted for him instead! *runs off to cry*

riiiiiiiiiiiiight........

He's doing his concession speech right now.

Epo, yesterday when we talked about who would win and you were all pessimistic saying Bush, I really thought I would be rubbing it your face today (yes, I'm evil?) but now... now you will be doing the rubbing!

I don't know why I'm so sad and pissed. But I really am. I feel sorry for my relatives who live in the US (New Jersey and L.A.) and my cousin... we've had really long talks about this. Ugh. I am far too upset.

Atleast New Jersey had the intelligence to vote for Kerry 🙂

I just feel sorry for Comma...he's so upset that Kerry lost, but he vowed to remain faithful to him

You know I would've been glad if you were the one with the rubbing.. I would have loved to be wrong about this..

Sigh. I can't believe Bush won. No, yes I can. I've lived in a lotta states and have come to the conclusion that the majority of Americans are morons, so hey!

Sorry, I don't mean to be cruel to Bush fans......Nah, that's a lie. I totally mean to be mean. 😉

im not a moron :(
I'm convinced that Bush has a pact with Beelzebub - through his representative on Earth, Cheney. I'm not convinced that Kerry would've been that great but...

Watching the news (because its stuck in the middle of American Pie 2, which is kind of ironic but moving on) and they described the elections as "gripping and confusing" which I think is a perfect way of describing it.

I'm not to happy with the outcome of the election...but America voted, and Bush was re-elected. Now I just have to hope the economy doesn't continue to coem crashing down into ruin...I'm not sure if Kerry would have been any better, but I had hope for a stronger America under Kerry. O well...

hey, me and Taco Boy ran around our school and told everyone to vote for you. But everyone voted for bush instead. Except my neighbor...

Bush sucks! I don't want him to be president for another 4 years!

lol...but I felt alittle better when i was listening to the radio and heard this...

"Yea...I'm pissed Bush won. But I'm not gonna let it get me down. Besides, Bush is more fun to make fun of. Now we have four more years of presidential comedy!"

lol...no offence Bush supporters....

Hey, all Kerry fans (and I DO NOT mean this in a bad way, I was just thinking about this the other day though 😉):
As Buffy once said:
"You need someone to issue orders and be reckless sometimes and not take your feelings into account. You need someone to lead you."
That's what Bush is gonna do. I mean, yeah he's gotta run a whole country, and not some mission to destroy evil....although now that I think about it it is slightly similar....but anyway in my opinion I just think that Kerry was way too sure about what he was gonna do, and if something threw off his "plan" then what would he do? Would he have a plan B? What if that backfired on him too?
IMO Bush is a better leader. But hey, this is just some 14-year-old who really doesnt pay that much attention in Social Studies class 😉
Sorry, I just had to put my 2 cents in 🙂

But also to the Kerry fans: I am sorry that he didn't win, as I know a lot of people really wanted him to be president. But hey, there's always the next election 😀 And plus, Bush can't run for the next one, his two turns are up.
