L.A. Noire - Angel reference?

Oh cool. I never noticed that before. Maybe it was a shout out considering it was in LA. But I don't know. "The Powers that Be" is a phrase that some other T.V. shows have used and some books mention it. It just seems like a phrase that people use to refer to a higher power that controls your fate and life. Don't think that Rockstar was directly referring to Angel but maybe just using it as a general phrase
Doesn't Vincent Karthieser do voice work for this? Maybe it is a subtle reference, lol.

Yea. Vincent actually did the voice of Walter Clemens. I believe he is a gas fitter in the first arson case. If you look up Walter Clemens he looks very much like Vincent. Also Keith Szarabajka (Holtz) is also in the game. He's Biggs, your partner for arson. So two Angel actors in the game? Maybe there is a slight reference 🙄
It could very well be a reference, but it doesn't have to be. I've noticed that "powers that be" has become a frequently used term (in fandoms only, most likely) for any kind of higher up, may it be some deity, network executives, some person's bosses, etc since Angel.
So it could also very well be they just picked it up somewhere and thought it sounded cool.

LOL Good point... If VK is doing voice work on this project, it's very possible that the producers of the game may have thrown in a subtle little reference. And if so, kudos for picking up on it!
