last episode of Angel what a bad ending

the last eposide of angel was sooooooooo bad like no. buffy was alot better but then i watch charmed last eposide that was better cos they showed you what happened in the end and made it end right. Angel was like an what happened next, that really annoyed me joss you need to sort it out!!!!
 
I felt like that at first but then I watched it again and I liked it. It's a good ending for Angel. He never stopped fighting the good fight.
 
i liked the ending. it was good and left the show open for future TV movies and what not.
plus, it lets each fan create their own 'what happened next' which i kind of like.
i felt this was a good ending for Angel as it ended just like it began...in an alley fighting the good fight.
 
Yup, I have to disagree also! I loved the ending of Angel. In fact, I felt it had more closure than the ending of Buffy. No matter what ending you believed, Angel was still fighting the good fight. Either he succeeded in hindering the Senior Partners, or he went down fighting 'the good fight', it really summed up the show nicely.
 
I found and find the ending interrupted, I felt like there was more to come and somehow they forgot to film it or edit it.
 
I disagree, I liked the ending of Not Fade Away... the whole point was to leave us hanging. It left me smiling, and I am way more happy smiling than watching Angel's arm fall off. I know, Joss was joking about Angel's arm... just saying...
 
I am afraid I have to agree that it was a frustrating and anti-climactic ending. I mean at least in Buffy you see what happened in the final battle and it was uplifting and satisfying. Also Charmed had complete closure. It showed you what happened years afterwards. Angel just left you hanging and was incredibly frustrating.
 
It did leave me thinking more? is that it? but it was good, even though i think it should of been given closure i like the never stop fighting message, i wouldn't want to see them all die!

I agree with you. I really liked the ending just because it didn't tell us what happened, so that in my mind (until something else from Joss tells me otherwise) they always keep on fighting..
 
I actually think it would have been better to see them all die if thats what was going to happen. I HATE the way they ended it. I hate having that fill in your own ending kinda thing. So f-ing lame.
 
i had to watch th ending a couple of times for it to sink in, I quite like the ending, it leaves more to the imagination.

I thought the ending was quite disturbing - seeing all those demons and especially the giant half man / horse!!!!
 
I mean I can understand both points of view, but I liked how Angel ended. It makes me become emotional and excited all in one! I really loved Illyria and Gun. But when Wes died I almost did as well. But it does give us opportunities to choose what happens next. Because anyone that knows me knows that I love to write stories and of course I wrote one for the ending as well! lol 🙂🙂🙂🙂
 
I liked the ending because it left you with all these open possibilities.. like did they win.. or did they die? and as Vision Guy said... its Angel.. . He never stopped fighting the good fight.. as well as the others... but i was annoyed that they rushed everything they did into that one ep.. i think they could have done that in two eps.. but thats just me.. i think they could have done more with the ending but still done it that way.. cos when buffy ended it went into angel.. so you kind of knew what was happening with the buffy gang after leaving us thinking about the last ep of buffy... where as angel it ended everything.. your like. erm.. what happened to everyone.. did buffy ever see spike again? did buffy come and help with angels big fight.. little things like that.. but .. whats done is done and ill accept it.. 🙂

That's exactly how I felt. I was okay with the Buffy ending cuz we still had Angel to find out what happens next. But Angel's cliffhanger ending ended everything in the Buffyverse. At least now we get the comic books.

Mm I agree. To me it doesn't matter what happened next, 'cause there is no "next", it ended where it ended and that's the end. Pretty much 🙂 I loved it.
 
Given the circumstances the ending of Angel was absolutely amazing. Of course I want to know what happened after (and we very well may if the Buffy season eight comics continue to a season nine) but the nature of the show was summed up perfectly by how it ended. Couldn't have been happier if Joss had always planned to end with season five.
 
I like and dislike the ending. "Not Fade Away" is an excellent episode, and for a show that was cancelled halfway through its fifth season, pretty darn good. But we never did get a payoff for some of the series threads, like Angel fighting the final fight and becoming human. Or Spike doing that if the prophecy was really about him (although I think it was really Angel).

But I don't think if they make a comic for Angel season six, I'll be reading it. I don't like comics. I'd rather them make a book series. I wish they were doing that for Buffy season eight as well.

That's probably true. But I've tried reading several, including mangas, and they're just too damn hard to follow.
i liked the ending...i also liked how they never brought Buffy back. I think it let fans try and picture who would end up with Buffy in the end rather than have her come back and pick one of them. I really miss the show though. There nothing good on tv anymore. *sigh* i wish there would be a tv movie or something!

They had every intention of bringing Buffy into this episode, the sole reason they didn't was because Sarah was unavailable. I think she was filming The Grudge.
