LOST Season Five **Spoilers**

What, no posts since the new episode?

I for one, think Frank being the pilot of the plane was awesome. Though i didnt recognize him at first, all sans beard and several pounds lighter!

I read somewhere that not everyone would make it to the island...even though everyone was on the plane... so i wonder how thats going to play out.

And i think Jin being in the Dharma clothing is because they are in the time period where Dharma was in its prime doing its experiements there, and the only way to not be caught and to learn more about them is to join them. Which i think ties back to when we saw Daniel working for them. it's actually going to play out now.

The most interesting part of this episode for me was seeing Ben covered in blood as he called Jack. He was at the docks at the time, so are we to assume he made good on his threat from the previous season and killed Penny? This would give Desmond motivation to return the island even though he vowed he never would.

GOOD POINT!!!
I missed season 4. I watched the recap episode before episode one of season 5...and I think I got the gist of it. But I think this season is great so far. It's wrapped up a lot of past mindbenders, while continuing to add new ones. It is a bit frustrating not knowing whats going on half the time; but that's the beauty of the show. Personally, I am enjoying the season. My father on the other hand cannot watch it anymore lol. He has trouble following plots and gave up completely.

I think this season so far has been one of the most exciting yet!

I am still trying to figure out how hurley and sayid knew what flight to be on.

I'm curious to see how Aaron and Jin/Sun's kids get to the island. Aaron was one of the 6 and technically so was preggers Sun. I think Aaron and Sun's daughter are going to be the Adam and Eve for the new island to kick-start the population growth.

Oh wow!! That's a brilliant theory! kudos

Well didn't Jeremy Benthem live a short but eventful life? So Widmore was banned from the island by Linus. Linus is working with Eloise Hawking but when Locke said he had to find her Linus kills Locke (wasn't that a shocker?). So Eloise was obviously not banned from the island or else she would not be working with Linus. Sooo one can assume that Hawking still thinks that Ben is supposed to be the leader on the island and if Locke had of met her she would have maybe killed Linus.
If Jack, Kate and Hurley are together and Lopidus and Sun took an outrigger (where in the hell did they come from and what damn Dharma station are the injured in?) just where is Sayid?
I think Aaron is not with Desmond...I think he's with Walt. Why else would there have been a comment about isn't Walt supposed to go back too? And wouldn't Walt be the best protector for Aaron with his psychic abilities

Maybe Walt came to Kate... what with his psychic abilities and all.

Here's my thought. Could they be in the Dharma station on the *other* Island? The one the Others were on?

It was very interesting. I guess Ben wanted to know what Locke knew before he decided to kill him.

But yeah, GOOD EPISODE, imo. 😀

Yeah, i think Ben was not one of the ones who had to go back, just the others, and he had to kill Locke so he could convince the others he had to go too without Locke interfering... but he's just trying to go back to be the leader again. Now that Locke has seen Ben on the island, i want to know whats going to happen. Because we know Locke has no reservations about killing, he's done it before. So will he attempt to kill Ben?

and now it seems both sort of stories are coming out of widmore and ben's mouths... so who's the real bad guy? or are they both? or is there one at all?

Wow. The scene where Ben kills Locke has me as shocked as I've ever been watching LOST. A lot of questions presented after watching this one. I wish I was watching the show on DVD right now so I could jump right into the next episode but I guess I'm going to have to wait the next two weeks out (there's no new episode next week....).

Is it new? I was told we weren't getting a new one next week.

Only bad thing I can think of about this week's episode is John didn't tell all of the O6 that he was going by Jeremy Bentham and we know the whole crew starts calling him that after their meeting(s).

Well the Oceanic 6 had to call him Bentham or they would out themselves as liars as to what happened with Oceanic 815. Also Locke promised Jin not to bring Sun back to the island and to tell her he's dead and for proof he gave the wedding ring to Locke to give to Sun.

So as shocked as I was when Ben killed Locke I still can't help but think that Ben really is not the bad guy... I mean he obviously isn't a good guy in the most basic sense of the word, but I do think he is telling the truth each time he stresses that he has their best interest at heart and is only trying to protect them. I'm thinking that Ben killed Locke because in order for them to be able to get back to the Island Locke had to be dead so that he could be Christian-in-the-coffin element neccessary in the recreation of as many original circumstances of the 815 crash as possible. Maybe Ben thought that Locke would chicken out of killing himself or that that really flimsy torn down looking roof would not hold Locke's weight... But I just have a feeling Ben's motives weren't malicious... but you know, just my theory 🙂

And man oh man, how badly can't I wait till I get my Kate/Sawyer reunion!!! *sigh*

Well, speaking of a Kate/Sawyer reunion, what were the thoughts on the Sawyer/Juliet pairing in last night's episode? I have to say I wasn't surprised by it. I kind of thought they'd go that route since the Oceanic 6 were gone roughly 3 years. Someone's gonna hook up in that time. Jin is married. Daniel had eyes for Charlotte (who was....dying anyway), and no one seems to like Miles. Sawyer and Juliet seemed like a pretty likely pair, especially since it further complicates the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle.

I have to say that even though I saw it coming, I kind of like Sawyer and Juliet together. Kate never could seem to decide what she wanted and it never seemed like she and Saywer (or her and Jack) were happy together anyway, even if there were some real feelings.

All right, enough talk of romance. My penis is threatening to pack its bags if I keep going on about nice couples. This was a really good episode all around, as was last week's episode. Did anyone realize this was the first Sawyer-centric episode since early season three? We got to see more of the Dharma Initiative than we've ever really gotten to see before, including that they had a truce with the others for awhile. Nothing truly mind-blowing happened (at least by LOST standards) but it doesn't always have to. This was a good character-driven episode and sets up the reunion between the Oceanic 6 and those who stayed behind next week.

Also on a sidenote: Michelle Dessler is hot. 24 fans know what I'm saying.

I am saying that the statue will have a resemblance to Richard Alpert. To me it makes sense because the dude just does not age!
Romantically speaking there is the possibility of 4 people! Let's not forget about Jack and Juliette.
So if Sawyer's group has matched the Oceanic 6 in 3 years of time has passed how crazy has Daniel been not to talk to Charlotte or watch her? That is going to be an interesting episode...
I hope we get some more insight on the Dharma initiative now that Sawyer has been around for 3 years.

Here's the problem, though, with the 3 years bit.

When Locke left the island, it was 3 years before folks came back. However, everyone else had been off the island for 3 (though I thought it was 4) years. If you recall, Locke got there, went to folks, killed himself, Jack saw, got in the accident, within a week everyone was on the plane, as Locke's body still seemed pretty "freshly" dead. 😛

At most, I wanna say Locke/Bentham was off the island for a month off-island time before returning.

In contrast, that "month" off-island ended up being "3 years" on-island. Gah, time is so messed up. 😛

Also, what's up with Amy having the baby on the island? What happens between her having her baby, and when Ben takes over and calls Juliette? I know y'all don't have answers. I just want some. 😛 😉

And yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Jack and Kate deal with Sawyer and Juliette being together, and how Sawyer and Juliette's being together deals with the arrival of Jack and Kate. 😉

Now to wait 2 weeks. *sigh*

The Sawyer/Juliet thing? I am NOT happy about it AT ALL, Grrrr! Of course I saw it coming, I knew it was going to happen one way or another... the extreme to which its happened though really threw me for a loop. I mean, eventhough we haven't seen the development for ourselves it has happened over three years, they LOVE eachother, they are in a serious committed relationship, meaningful... UGH, I can understand how it might have happened, but as an avid Skater from the beginning I am just not happy about it. And that nonsense Sawyer was going on about... not even being able to remember her face and being totally over it... HA! He sure as hell remembered her and gave her the "you are the only person on this island" look when Kate stepped off that van. I like Juliet, I really do, so I don't want her heart to be broken or anything but I'm thinking (and hoping) that when she sees Jack she'll give him that very same look and it'll turn into a love quadrangle which will inevitably end with Sawyer/Kate and Jack/Juliet together... PLEASE, OH PLEASE!

Yes, yes I am a fangirl :silly:
