The movie has NOTHING to do with the Series. Joss has explained this before, the concept is the same, but the stories are not the same!
 
Have to say Angel. Though I think she could love Spike, if she just opened herself up to the idea.

I definitely agree with that ! Angel was the love of her life, but you don't always end up with that person do you ? ::mmm::
 
If you don't, if you end up with somebody else for the rest of your life, who then is actually the "Love of your Life"? ... what is the "Love of your Life" anyway?
 
i would definately go with angel....she loved him the most out of the 3...if you can even say she ever loved spike and riley that is...she just belonged with angel...
 
She definatly loved/loves Riley and Spike. And if thinks were different (without the demons) she probably would have ended up with Riley!

Still unsolved is the question: What is the definition for "Love of your Life"?

Oooooh that's a tricky question !
I think when I read the poll title my first thought was that it meant which relationship has had the biggest effect on Buffy's life so far. Angel was her first love and most of her beliefs about love would have been affected by the way the relationship went.
It doesn't mean that she can't love anyone else, IMHO. :: hiding:

This doesn't sound too well for me, because though I'm resonably young, the biggest impact on my life, wasn't a relationship to be really proud of!

But was Buffy also the biggest impact on Angel's life, yes ... no, maybe ... Darla had a lot of impact too!
 
Angel might have been Buffy's first great love, but the way the relationship with Spike is developing it looks like he is the true love.
there is a very thin line between love and hate, and as Spike has already said in S6: you always hurt those you love.
She just doesn't quite get it yet.....
And Riley....he was just another rebound guy. He realized himself that she didn't love him.
Guess it's clear, I voted for Spike......
 
I really like spike...but then again i like angel....but from the beginning.....when angel was there...joss and smg...said that angel will and always will be buffy true love..even if does end up with someone else...like i love buffy and spike together...there great!
 
The Love of Your Life is the one who will always own a piece of your heart no matter what.

So truthfully, without any bias, I will have to say Angel.

True he was her first love and she was naive, but Buffy was never a child in the true sense of the word. Buffy has two true loves, Angel and Dawn (in a sisterly way of course) And I can't fault her for that b/c I know how she feels.

I broke up with my ex-boyfriend and first love six years ago. We went through a lot together and due to circumstances beyong our control we can not be together. I have moved on and had several relationships, and I am now engaged to a man I love dearly, the man I plan to spend my life my life with. But I know deep in my heart that I could never love anybody the way I loved my ex, I know I will never feel anything so pure and strong again. Does that mean I don't love my fiancee? Of course not. But there is a part of me that will always belong to my past lover, and that no one will be able to touch.

And for Buffy that's Angel.
 
Angel is still her true and always will be nobody else comes close to the love she shared with him not even for him

Remember in the episode this year where Buffy thought she would have to kill Anya; she said that she would always love Angel more than anything else. (OK, so she said "thing" -- big deal).

So "Angel" for sure.

::rm::I don't know about anyone else but sometimes i really hate the writers of buffy because they were so mean and heartless for not letting b/a be together and i still haven't gotten over them being apart.::crying:: It's just wrong and I'm still gutted about it!::uh::
