Personally I thought Lover's walk was the best of the 3rd season. PERSONALLY, so don't kill me. 😉

I loved Spike's cameo. I mean, we get to see Spike in a whole new light. A pathetic heartbroken, drunk, whiny vampire. He had some absolutely wonderful lines, and his interaction with the other characters was brilliant. (Not to forget his hilarious exit. XD I DID IT MYYYYY WAAAAY!)

One of my favorite moments was when Spike is making faces behind Joyce, and only Angel can see him

And my absolute favorite line is when he is crying besides Willow.
"God, I'm so unhappy." 😀 It always makes me smile.

Shout out, and let me know your feelings 'bout the episode

I loved the scene when he's sharing a cuppa with Joyce. I've always liked their "friendship"
I love the episode too. It's Spike who points out to Buffy and Angel, what Angel already knows... that the two of them can't be together. Buffy fights it but you can see that Angel knows... its really sad...

but big plus for seeing Spike again.

and can't forget the great cut between Cordy's fall and then to the funeral. First time round its like "WTF! Cordy!!!" and then you laugh when Buffy and Willow say how Cordelia is fine-ish.

Gahh that funeral scene gets me every time! Except it probably won't now..

Yeah... I was also like "holy hell! you can't kill her."

It's so unexpected and like Joss to do it tho, so you don't think you're being fooled by it.

I love when Buffy and Angel say Spike probably just has them at an abandoned ware house.... awwwww Spike just rules this episode.

lol i love when he says that too
I also love the Cordelia's dead mislead. Very Funny.

I love Lover's Walk because you get to see the three super-beings in action together - the one and only time! (and in my humble opionion Spike and Buffy completely dominate the scene) and also because it is the end of all that Willow/Xander nonsense.

Wonderful ep.
There's a lot going on. The Xander-Cordy-Willow-Oz show, The Buffy-Angel show and the very-fun-and-drunk-Spike show lol

It's sad and cheerful at the same time. Oz and Cordy weren't really seeing that coming, I felt really sorry for them. And then, of course, the whole 'we can't be just friends' thing of Buffy and Angel.
It's cool that only Spike notices that. And I love when he says "I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it".
Poor Spike lol he's such a mess because of Dru.

But my favourite scene award probably goes for when he's behind Joyce making all those faces, it's really funny.
That and Joyce's confusion:

Joyce: Okay, I-I'm confused again.

Spike: Willow!

Buffy: (stays her thrust) You took Willow.

Spike: You do me now, you'll never find the little witch.

Joyce: (confused) Willow's a witch?

Buffy: And Xander?

Spike: Him, too.

Joyce: What, Xander's a witch? I...

lol

Yeah ^^ Oooh, just looked at Spike's line. "If you do me now..." Tehee

^^lol i love this ep
yeah it was good that they had to get it out the way between the two of them, at the worst possible time. Eventually both are happy with other people and then they have to frak it up. But Willow and Xander should never be together, but i'm glad it did get covered... friendship spilling over to something more.

And yep Spike ruled out of the 3 of them. as always 🙂

I am with you on that. Willow and Xander shouldn't be together. It would be sad. Their friendship is really great
I think we have all been loves bitch at one point or another so ditto on that line being my favorite. I was and am delusion and refused to listen to Spike with all his Buffy and Angel will never work out yada yada business!!

Actually he didn't say that. He said they couldn't deny their feelings. Denying them would never work out

Spike has an ability to say things as they are.. they may not always be what you want to hear, but they are true

always. that just made me think of the Pangs argument and he says "the history of the world isn't about people making friends. You had better weapons, you massacred them. end of story." its true!
I also have to agree on all the above points, I love Spikes return, Cordy's "death", but I esp. love the end when it shows everyone alone because it is a theme Joss touches on a lot.

I like the part:

Spike: "I wish I was dead".
Bufffy: (pulling out a stake) "Well, if you close your eyes and wish real hard..."

Tears started forming in my eyes when I thought Cordy died. That was mean!

I actually just watched this today. There's a part where Buffy, Angel, and Spike are in the Magic Box about to fight all the vamps and Spike says something characteristically annoying (as is our Spike's way 😛)and Buffy relplies with, "I violently dislike you." Knowing their future it just brought a naughty smirk to my face... like say, what if past S3 Buffy was all of a sudden privy to S6 & S7 events between her and Spike... lol, she'd totally wig.

I am watching this ep now and I love Spike he makes me laugh so hard in this ep. When he sees Angel first and mocks him, falls, passes out and wakes up in the sunlight.

Your new siggy is funny. :D
I love this ep! I was so torn, because on one hand Willow! Xander! Don't hurt Willow and Xander. On the other, Spike was mopey and sad, and that Spike just melts my heart and makes me want to hold him. I also love when he's pretending to bite Joyce's neck, lol. But there was something more to that, he could very well have killed her, but he settled for talking to her over hot chocolate, it's a real foreshadow to S7 (Lies my Parents Told Me) if you think about it.

ooo good point! Probably took to Joyce a lot because of his closeness to HIS mom. never thought of that.

You can tell Spike really liked Joyce, even when he was bad. Totally respected her.
I quite like this ep myself, the big punch up with the 3 of them against all those vamps is great, and spikes speach of course. I spose its been mentioned before but when spike is in the magic shop talking to the shop woman the murial on the wall behind him looks suspiciously like the mayor after his assention.

"Lover's Walk" is one of my favorites in Season 3... Not only did I finally get what I'd been wishing for since the start of the series- a kiss between Willow and Xander! and one where he wasn't wishing it was anyone else!- but the ep stayed true-to-Buffyform in that when I thought Cordelia died my heart was shattered. And poor, poor Oz... This episode had some major moments in it, and I thought Spike was a very welcome shot of comedy in the ep. 🙂

Well too me it was one of the worst. I just hated it, Spike was funny but the lackage of Faith in a Season 3 episode wasn't cool. And I just didn't like the fact that it kinda broke the 'High School Chain'. Ya know the relationships of both Willow and Xander and Cordy and Oz..Well I loved that.

And it was taken away from me.
