Spike's Princess
Potential
Everything wood had done had been manipulative. He hire her, he claim because she was the slayer , he ask her out, than make a reference that she won't get fire for saying no.. of course if that was true why mention it and put the idea in her head? I believe he stage that fight with the vamps in the ally (in First Date) For Buffy to see that he was on her side. : mad3
But let take a closer look:
1.) he had on fighting clothes, instead of going out clothes. he dress up to go to work, it would seem like he would dress up to go to a fancy french restaurant.
2.) He drive a car, so why walk to the restaurant, unless he wants something to attack them.
3) he give her a gift, and invite himself over. (in Get it done)
4. he tells everyone he the son of a slayer, in order to get access into the inner circle. ( think of the movie 6 degree of Separation )
I think everything he has done, has been manipulative in some way. But why? I do not believe his motive is just "Spike", I believe their is something more to it than that. . . He seem like he wanted Buffy to trust him for some reason, he keep going on, and on about his mom being a slayer, yet , if he was raise by his mom's watcher, as he said he was, he would have met another slayer before Buffy, so why did he give Buffy the bag?, instead of the slayer before her? Wood tells Buffy about his mother being a slayer only so he can gain her trust, however, the fact that once he tells her ,he doesn't ever mention Jonathan. .Also, the fact that there is no information on Wood prior to him arriving in SD is way suspicious. The words the first evil/Chloe spoke to them,(in Get it done) echoes what Buffy said to Wood in private. where was the first evil to her that? or did someone tell him? would someone who claim to fight evil , knowingly align himself with the first evil?
Do you think Wood is manipulative? why, or why not.?
