teentitan agrees: No it just argues you are watching tv land re-runs of Hulk. It's the piano music at the end that gets you isn't it,lol
I did like in the recent movie that they used that music AND Lou!
That was fun.

I don't think so. Harrison Ford is still doing his own stunts in Indiana Jones and he doesn't look or do too bad.
As long as Sam stays in shape, which I see no reason for him not to, then he has a good few years in him.
Also, the films he will have a major role in are:
Nick Fury
The Avengers
S.H.I.E.L.D
And possibly sequels for them but to be fair, we don't have any clue what they have in store for his character, how big his role is and what action he will have to do.
As I say, it is a standard clause for ANY movie to have an actor sign on for a sequel for these types of movies, sometimes even a threequel, so you have your 9 movies right there (including Thor, IM2 and Ant-Man) but thats only an option.
Also, lets not forget that Marvel have totally redesigned Nick Fury in the image of Sam Jackson.
He may be a 61 year old, but he sure doesn't look like it.

Surely you realize that there some truly awesome 61 year old men running around out there. (And just for the record, I do all my own stunts, too.)
Besides who else has the presence and testosterone to play Nick Fury?
If anyone watched the last clip after the credits of Iron Man, Samuel L Jackson showed up as Nick Fury. Then, in The Hulk, Robert Downey Jr showed up as Tony Stark. As much as I'd love to hope for some huge, wrapped in a bow movie arrangement that would tie everything together, I think I'll probably be 50 before they could pull it off without being forced. The Avengers movie keeps being pushed back and pushed back. Plus wouldnt it only make sense to have a member of Xmen show up in Spiderman then?
Colin Salmon !!!!
No, no, no, no, no...James Bond English. An argument long ago that you won.
Nick Fury...born, bred and made in the U.S of A! A jarhead, cigar chompn', ham-hock fisted sumbitch that would rather stomp a mudhole in your chest then have a debate over who's momma makes the better apple pie not crumpets. A roughneck who drinks beer at noon not tea! Drinks Kentucky bourbon and uses scotch to wash his socks with.
So ask yourself Edmund does this Colin fella you propose have that kind of presence to be a convincing Nick Fury?
I believe in this guys quality of acting to be able to pull ALL that off - except the US of A stuff.
I tell you who DID come to mind though - Snake Plisskin from Escape from New York/LA or as he is known in real life, Kurt Russell.
Doesn't matter if your Colin guy has the acting ability, I presented a few Americans with quality acting skills but you said no "Bond is British". So sorry what goes around, comes around "Fury is American". lol
Actually my first pick for Nick Fury would have been Bruce Willis but yeah Kurt would be a good one. Sadly the ultimate guy to play Nick Fury hands down would be the one and only Lee Marvin with Clint Eastwood (minus 30 years) a close second.
I think thats what annoys me about Heroes.I'm actually nervous about Sam Jackson as Nick Fury. It seems to scream The Ultimates more so than The Avengers. The Ultimates are fine, but it is just too politically motivated, and celebrity based. The Ultimates invade Iraq. They discuss who's going to play them in a movie. Hulk wants to smash Freddie Prinze Jnr. All funny and enjoyable. But not what I want to see. I want some old fashioned Super heroics. Alien Planets, Giant Monsters. Gods. Atlantis. All that fan boy stuff. 🙂
I could get behind ALL the other names except Tom Selleck - it would be too 'David Hasselhoff' for meTommy Lee Jones might make a good Nick Fury. He's a good actor and has the right kind of grim, weathered look for a man who's survived too many battles. Tom Sellack, maybe, if he could play Fury like a "good ol' boy unless you mess with him" sort of guy. Michael Ironside maybe, or Clancy Brown could do it, but they don't have the kind of name to pull in the viewers.

Well, then, how about T S's frequent co-star, Sam Elliot? He played the Sergeant in Mel Gibson's "We Were Soldiers". Meaner than a snake and twice as dangerous.
