Meal Planning #2

Need to go to the supermarket after work as I forgot yesterday that I'd used the last of the bread.

So bread, milk, butter, sugar, maybe bacon or ham. Ham would be good as I've got cheese.

Tuna and cheese bake tonight.
Got some eggs today, so eggs for breakfast tomorrow 😀

I took chicken pieces out of the freezer but didn't really have a plan for them. So just dug into the back of the cupboard and found a jar for sweet and sour.

Now I remember why it was still in there, its more of a chunky sauce than I like, but edible enough for today, and tomorrow.

I'm trying to figure out a good sauce to cure my cravings for chinese takeaway. I made beef hokkien noodles and chicken fried rice today. Two large containers of each in the freezer. It still tastes homecooked, but nice enough. Now my freezer is pretty well stocked!

Mashed roast pumpkin and sweet potato with homemade garlic bread. Yummy. Perfect for a winter night.

For the past year, I've never known what I was eating until I was sitting down for the meal at night; the good and bad part of living at home, where my stepdad does all the cooking 😀

In two seconds, I plan to eat a meal called a push-pop from Sun-Lolly!

score!
I have the slow cooker on for white chocolate fudge.

Given there's a heatwave this week I'm not doing a lot of cooking, got quiche with new potatoes for dinner tonight.

Mmh, white chocolate anything is the best, currently working my way through a Ferrero Rocher white chocolate bar :D
Im still trying to figure out what I react to and Im starting to think the balance of it all is just as important. Feeling like a legit millennial now because I had avocado on vegemite toast, but dont have the burning leg reaction I usually get from bread, so I wonder if the fat in the avocado helped that somehow? Cos yesterday I had a chicken and salad sandwich and paid for it all afternoon!

Going to slice some chicken breast to have with the rest of the pumpkin and sweet potato for lunch, once the dogs wake up from their nap and get off me.

Simple dinner today with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. Tuna pasta bake.

I should do another pasta bake soon, good winter meal and easy for the freezer
One of my staples tonight. Garlic prawns with silverbeet and spring onion. The neighbour dropped a nice lot of silverbeet by my back door with spring onions and a bunch of carrots from his garden. He leaves the tops on because he knows my bunny loves to eat them. So Anya got carrots tonight too 😀

I really should stop eating all the peas before I leave the allotment so I can do something with them, like a risotto. But no, they must be eaten as soon as I pick them. I did leave enough to have with the potatoes I dug up, and I'll have them with salmon tonight.

I got icecream today. Now I remember why I dont buy icecream. I cant scoop it!

Just grab a spoon and eat it from the tub! That's what I do! Stopping eating it can be a problem...

First you start by scraping little bits off with the spoon, then you work up to whole spoonfuls as it softens!
Tonight I feast! Big roast dinner with Turkey, turnips, potato and sweet potato in the oven now. I already cooked some celery and onion and might make a gravy if I have any powder. Should be enough to get me through to almost the weekend.

It's going to be very hot by the end of the week so I've got gammon in the slow cooker today. I'll get some part baked rolls and some eggs for easy meals over the weekend.
