Meal Planning #2

When I went to get bread, there was some reduced sausages, so they're cooking now. I probably should have just frozen them, but I'll have some for dinner tonight and probably lunch tomorrow, then start on the gammon.

I need to check the date on the pork chops in the fridge, I'm hoping that I don't need to cook them before Monday.

I havent been great with food waste this week. I was all outta whack with shopping days last week and I ended up with more food than I could eat. Good problem to have, but I felt bad throwing out some of the stuff I just forgot about. Half a red onion, half a tomato, half a cup of pumpkin, rice and some celery that I just couldnt get through. I did plant some of the celery stalks in the garden, but I duno if they will take haha. I put one in the empty fish tank too lol. I'll be better about it this week. Make sure to freeze any left over cooked veg right away and actually eat what is in the fridge instead of ordering a pizza last minute 🙄

I have a salad made for lunch tomorrow. I have some leftover mince and tomato from dinner tonight to have for breakfast tomorrow, maybe with egg or cottage cheese. My next grocery delivery is tomorrow night and while I dont need it, I want to get back on track for two deliveries a week. Its just easier to plan that way. My freezer is doing pretty well with a few different meals in there too.

Crumbed chicken tenders in the oven tonight, enough for leftovers tomorrow too. Precrumbed, they were on special. Im happy for the ease of it 😀 Will have some with caesar salad and some in bread rolls for burgers.
Cracked open a bag of CC's today too, so they'll be a nice snack for the rest of the weekend.

OOh bonus! Just realised they are southern fried chicken tenders, Smells like kfc in here.

Cooked up a big chicken, bacon and broccoli pasta bake today. Fed me all day today and should do tomorrow too. 4 serves in the freezer (but only in two containers). I will regret the pasta later, but it was a good comfort food cooking type of day.

Found some mince in the freezer that will need using asap so once I want to cook again I will do a spag bol with that.

Never regret pasta! ;)
About to be alone for a week while my mom and stepdad head to Italy for vacation, so I'm going to be cooking again, something I've not done much of in the year since I moved back in with my mom. I'm thinking cannelloni first, which will last me about four nights, and then we'll see what I come up with next 🙂

They went to Italy! And left you to cook your own meals, some people are so bloody inconsiderate.
Alright, the cannelloni got me through three nights, and then today when I went to the grocery store to look through their freezer with the stuff that'll go bad soon and is therefore cheaper, guess what I found? A pack of four sliders for super cheap! Never had mini-burgers before, but think four is the perfect amount for one person. Got some bacon and melty-cheese to go with it and can't wait to make it tonight 🙂

Not only do you have to cook your own meals you have to make them as well !
I went to Aldi the other day so now my freezer is packed to the brim.
Had chicken burgers tonight, and enough of that buffalo chicken left to have in stir fry tomorrow.
More pumpkin soup on the horizon for me and a kilo of kiwi fruit, mandarins and avocado. So nice to have so many easy food choices!

I struggled to heat up the peas and carrot last night, luckily they were straight out of a can, frozen fish with lotsa bread crumbs all over them, oh yeah and lashings of the delicious tomato sauce, yum.

Tonight and tomorrow we're doing fresh stuffed pasta (cheese and spinach) in a cheesy sauce with barbecue chicken spears. Yum!

I did a huge cook up of spag bog. About 8 serves. One down the hatch, the rest in the freezer. Leftover plain pasta to do something with too. I was thinking while I was cooking, this isnt so bad, why do I hate cooking usually? And then I saw the mess at the end and remembered why I hate cooking.

Bought a salad from the local butcher and cannot get enough of it, so delicious. Completely worth the kinda insane price, lol. Pairing it with cream potatoes with cheese and bacon and a piece of seasoned chicken for the pan.

'Rents are going out for dinner with friends tonight, so I'm taking advantage of having just gotten paid and splurging on a pizza place pizza 😀

Butterfly lamb in the oven now, another different one from Aldi, we'll see how I like it. It wasnt really cheaper per kilo, just a smaller cut. Potatoes in there as well. I can either make a greek salad or use a cabbage salad bag to go with it.

And defo going to make that weetbix slice tonight!!
