I voted. i think its a great idea. I think you should go ahead with it. and I think the awards are great!

Is there anyway to send a message to every member??? Or maybe post a thread in every forum about the votes, and when they're done delete them. after that people should remember and be more excited to vote.

(Maybe, we might vote for more then just 5 and make it 10?)

also just a thought but I don;t think anyone will use them outside of these boards. even if they do they can tell people where the award is from. what I'm getting at is why don't the awards say...

ex. Tubula Rasa award: Best buffyboard username. or something like that.

like I said though just a thought.

Oh because that would be fun making them all over again!😛

Plus what is the point of giving the awards names and then putting what they are for on it too - we may as well just have the award categories 'Best Username' or 'Best Wallpaper/Banner Maker' if that's the case...

I'm not trying to be snarky here although I'm probably doing a good job but I have a father that is terminally ill with cancer and 5 kids to look after, one of which is only 4 months old so please understand that finding time to fit this in with everything else that is going on in my life is hard enough. I did it as the members seemed enthusiastic and all for it and yet now they are up and running hardly anyone is bothering to vote.

If more people vote then I will consider remaking the buttons at the present time it's doubtful there will even be any awards next month...

Oh, by the way if you are wondering where the rest of your posts and rene's posts went from this thread I deleted them as they were totally off-topic and just spam.😉 This thread is about the awards - if you want to chat then use our chatroom or chat via PM, it's what we provide both services for.🙂
 
Yeah we've been told to use the chat boards at least 3 times each. I think.

Ok, was just suggestion. But like I said in a deleted post, I'm gonna send a message to every active member. That oughtta take awhile.

And this may sound snotty, but how come your doing the awards? It sounds like your really busy, why not get another mod to make them? If they're all really busy as well, I;m sure you can find a regular member to do them. But if you wanna leave them for now, or for good, doesn't matter to me. Just throwing out suggestions.

funny thing though, on the last one, my connection failed.

Please don't get PMing all the members - those that want to vote will - some members may not want to participate and will probably find it annoying if they get PM'd about it. 😉

I offered to organise the awards as I thought it would be good for the members - at the time although my father was illl he hadn't deteriorated as much as he has now. Once the initial organisation was done it was just a case of counting votes each month. As for other mods making the awards buttons, as far as I am aware there are none that do graphics plus I'm picky about graphics at the best of times. It may end up with me handing over the running of the awards to another member of staff and I *may* re-do the awards buttons if I have the spare time before the end of the month, if not I will re-do them next month should the awards still be going.🙂
 
Well a little late to not PM everyone but ok. Honestly though I don't think many if any will mind. But about the awards, like I said just leave them its fine with me.

Okies, as suggested by Zander8472 I have made the award buttons again and this time I have left off the www.buffy-boards.com and instead you have the award title plus what it is for. Here they are anyway - hopefully this time they will be ok for everyone. 😛

I hate having to remind you guys but I'm going to have to anyway as the last few PM's I have received have inlcuded votes for several staff.

Please do not vote for Staff, we are not eligible - at least this month anyway- for the awards. We can vote but cannot be voted for.
