Same here. ='(
I don't know if anyone else is watching the funeral service, although I imagine people will be, i thought it was a very fitting tribute to Micheal.

Stevie Wonder was just outstanding!! Absolutely amazing!! And Jermain singing "smile" nearly reduced me to tears.

I don't think it actually hit in he was dead until just now, which is weird considering all the hype, but still...

"Smile when Your heart is aching" RIP MJ

I caught some of it. I think certain speakers were a bit hysterical in their praise, but overall a great tribute. 🙂 The Jacksons are so lovely.

I just watched it and strangely got really emotional. I think it was just the amount of grief that was show and Brooke Shields crying and his daughter right at the end. Its what any daughter woudl say about there dad, kinda made him more human.
Although that woman from the government or something went on for ageeees and that other guy who just shouted his speech thing, and kinda made out MJ was some kind of mircle worker and single handily abolished black preducide was abit much.

I didn't watch it because I was afraid I'd cry because of his children. But Sarah, being a boob she is, sent me a youtube link of Paris, and of course I starting crying. =(

Michael Jackson is dead?! Wow. Did the media largely ignore his death, I havent seen it reported anywhere. So unreal.

....you don't by any chance live under a really big rock in the Sahara...do you?

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I think he was joking, pal.
I was going to say the same thing...
If you live in America, you should know who he is.
If you don't, you need a reality check.
And if it's a joke, you're funny as hell.

I was crying for hours when watching the memorial service, and when Paris spoke...I don't think I've ever cried so much.
I've now held one tribute and been involved in a charity event putting together a book of condolence for him.
I'm so very sad he's gone and it only really hit me on Tuesday. I just can't believe I'm now not ever going to be able to see him, that actually crushes me.

I'm not deliberately trying to belittle anyone, but some of the reactions I've seen to this are disturbing, to put it mildly/kindly.

Theres very little doubt in my mind that Michael Jackson died the most famous man on earth.. but at the end of the day he was just a singer.. Why the hysteria.

I think something like this, on such a grand scale, I will never understand.

Personally, I believe the reaction to this is just another example of how backward, deluded and twisted people on a whole are.

The hysteria, and the huge amount of news coverage wasted on this singers death should have been focussed on something important, worthwhile, like the equivalent energy that was spent on here spent on Iran and what was happening there.
