I really dislike it. But that's not surprising. One of the reasons is you cant have a SMG stand-in. Either have her in the episode and mention her, or don't and don't. To have a body double further cheapened the episode in my opinion.

Ah ok. I will agree that the Buffy stand in's in S5 are terrible but it doesn't ruin the episode for me cause it's so brief. I guess I just buy into the cheap humor easily. lol.

They go to Italy.. the head in the duffle bag.. Buffy dancing with the Immortal. Riding the Vespa. Wolfram & Hart Italian branch.

To me if they mention her, and show 'her' dancing, then it really needs to be HER. But.. I am pedantic.

Didn't matter to me, it wasn't about her it was about Spike and Angels feelings for her..but that's me 🙂

I can kind of agree with this. I don't think they needed to show us her dancing. Because it's like if she's that close to them, then we really should see SMG at some point. So they could have just done without that and just mention that she's there, but we can't see her through the crowd.

I agree with this, which is why I love the episode and the body double doesn't bother me.

That right there was the only redeeming thing about the episode. I did like her.

I sort of got over TGIQ when S8 revealed it wasn't actually Buffy they saw dancing. A cop out after the backlash the fans gave over Buffy apparently dating someone like The Immortal, but it was a cop out I thought worked.

I think they were playing with the audience in making them believe that Buffy would make an appearance in The Girl in Question. Not sure I have a problem with it either. It is maybe one of the weaker episodes of S5 but still has its moments.
