Ohhh and another film I am looking forward to this year, even though the name is annoying, The Boat that Rocked. The cast list is IMMENSE!!

I want to see Repo!
I haven't seen a film yet... but I am going to watch Twilight (in Germany it come sto cinemanext Thursday...) and another german film called "Wilde hühner". But I am really exited about twilight, I hope it is almost as good as the book, but sadly many say that it isn't good... So I have to wait and wait while the whole english speaking countrys have already seen it and know how it is like^^

I don't normally like movies like this but the trailer looks really good - and I think they are all doing Eastern European accents😛

The trailer did piss me off at one point. When the narrator says 'in a story never before told'.
Its been told numerous times, just not by Hollywood.

Same here. I just saw Daniel Craig talking about the film in the Daily Show and now I'm curious. Wasn't really before, because the trailer seemed way to melo-dramatic, based on a true story-ish. But now I know more about the story and everything, I think I want to see it. Generally speaking, I'm an absolute sucker for decent historic drama.

Mh, at least there isn't a stupid love story involved as far as I can tell, but I bet there must be, otherwise Hollywood can't sleep properly. Anyway, it looks interesting enough, although according to wikipedia it isn't that historically accurate and at the same time didn't get too good reviews. mh. but sure looks interesting though with Germans featuring prominently in the plot and everything 😉

I saw Role Models last night.
I swear to Jesus that I nearly shat myself laughing so hard at it.

If ever you wondered how to explain Love Gun by Kiss to a child, this movie has the perfect way.

Every character was funny...brilliant

I can't wait to see Role Models, i love every comedy i've seen with Seann William Scott in it! <3

I haven't seen anything as yet this year, but I'm looking forward to a few...whether or not I'll see them is a different matter...

Slumdog Millionaire
Frost/Nixon
X Men Origins: Wolverine
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Ice Age 3 (I'm such a kid!)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I know this is going to be a late 2009/2010 movie...but the idea of Nottingham scares the bejesus out of me. Crowe as Robin Hood AND the Sheriff of Nottingham? Eeek!

Haven't thought of it yet, though I'm sure waiting for "Dead Like Me the movie" to come out.
Also looking forward to see "9" by Tim Burton.

Mr. Bear and I are going to see My Bloody Valentine (hopefully in 3D, if anywhere around here has it) tonight. Thank GOD, we finally have a horror movie (however campy it's going to be) that's rated R! Any other adults in here tired of the PG-13 action and/or horror movies that have been coming out of Hollywood lately?

I'm certainly tired of some of the poorly made/written/directed/acted movies being turned out today that are 90% hype and 10% story, usually huge budgets and poor plot. I love good action movies, but I want a story to go along with all the car chases, gun battles, and fist fights. As for the rating, about the only time my wife and I even make note of it unless our granddaughter is with us.

As for the stuff that passes for horror these days, I wouldn't trade Lugosi's "Dracula" and Chaney's "Wolf Man" for everything to come out since the original "Halloween."

Of course, that's just an old man's ranting about his own personal Good Ol' Days. I think that good rock music ended with Elvis.

As for the proliferation of PG-13 ratings over R, it's simple economics. The lower rating allows for a larger number of potential customers.

Ok, I LOVED the Twilight movie... It got me completely addicted to the whole Twilight world. 🙂 I didn't read the books until after I saw the movie, but I rewatched and I can see a little of what you haters are talking about, but I still didn't think it was that terrible. 😛

Movies I saw in 2008: The Dark Knight, which KICKED ASS!!! and HSM3, for my daughter's birthday, which was better than expected. 🙂
Movies I'm looking forward to this year: New Moon (the meadow scene with the pack and Laurent is going to be AWESOME if they do it right!!) and The Lovely Bones, which is a movie based on one of the best books I've ever read! 🙂

Oh, I know. It's just frustrating when you're looking for something truly terrifying, and they feed you this stuff that's "suitable" for teenagers instead--meaning, not really that scary until the "too scary for theaters" unrated version comes out on DVD. It's kind of annoying, not being in the marketed-to demographic. 🙁

Ok, I really really really hate movies that have pointless blood and severing body parts in it. I do not find that horror or anything else beside disgusting. I rather have PG-13 movie with intense imaginary horror over brutal cutting off of body parts any time.

SOO SOOO SOOOOO TRUE
^ Oh, I don't go in for torture-porn, either. But the PG-13s have to avoid even some mature themes, not just blood and guts. And I need a LOT of freakiness to get me scared. So this trend is annoying.

I cant wait for Tarrintinos new film and rogriquez's new film. Also bioshock the movie and halo the movie and gears the movie theres a whole game to film thing going on here.

Oh, I didn't even know they were making a Halo movie. That oughta be cool!
I haven't seen any movies yet this year.
I saw Twilight at the end of last year, though.
It didn't live up to the books. 😉
But it was amazing.
I fell in love with Robert Pattinson.
