Ok this is annoying.

I load up Ice Chat, connect to vbirc as usual, type "/join [HASHTAG]#buffyboards[/HASHTAG]" like I've done a hundred times before, I'm the only one/thing in the room.

Yet everyone else is apparently in there just fine, bots and all, I'm in the same room but see nothing.

Whats up with that?

And don't ask me to double check I've gone through it all thoroughly six times now.

I'm afraid I can't help you with your program (I'm not great with that sort of thing!) but you can always go to "http://www.mibbit.com/chat/#" and use that until Ice Chat is working okay :)

Not really since I don't have access to a proper imaging program and it would take the better part of an hour with this computer if I could between finding a way to cap it and upload it.
 
I think I saw Kemy in IRC last night so I assume it was fixed but anyway, the problem most likely was a netsplit. When a netsplit happens, two IRC servers in the network are disconnected from eachother and the users in them can't see eachother.

Either that or he was just connecting to the wrong network. 😀
 
i'm having problems connecting with my icechat i deleted icechat then re-installed it on my computer. I've followed the instructions on this thread and i was able to get into the chat last time but i can't seem to this time. I connect to the server then a new channel appears and its just me on my own.

I've attached a screen print to try and make it clearer whats happening

Aww I keep forgetting not everyone has the pretty purple :P
Could be another netsplit. 🙁 Everything seems to be working fine now though so you should try connecting and seeing if it works!
 
It did that to me with mIRC the past two days. If I connected using the link in the toolbar and then connected with mIRC, it let me. Then today mIRC worked fine. So you might try that - might be some cache thing.

Ok this is completely effing ridiculous, not only do I end up in the same empty room every night on Icechat but now I'm trying Mibbit as well and getting the same result.

I have checked the details fifty frikkin times and nothing is wrong on my end, IRC just shunts me into an empty room when I try to log into the Buffy Boards room specifically.
