I hope they can get out by Feb 13th. That's two weeks before my birthday, so I can actually get it for my birthday. ^.^ If they wait, I'll have to pay for it myself. 😛

Even though I'm from the UK and will be able to get the game with no problems, I think it kinda sucks for US fans. Afterall, the show is a US based show so you'd think that would be the first place it'd be released.

I think they'd get it if the game was more of a big deal. It's obviously just a little something to shut us up, i mean there's been hardly any publicity for it and it's being made by a virtually unknown developer.

Personally though, i'm glad the US fans don't get it, Americans get too many perks when it comes to games, it's about time we had one

Ha, yeah, I hope they make a PS2 version. The PS2 is still my trusty sidekick. 😉

The US might eventually get it, who knows?
And yeah, I agree, I think it's fair that we finally get something. There's a tonne of stuff in America that we don't have here.

Hey guys.

Just to be clear, this game is made by a Romanian developer, that's why it's coming out in Europe (incl UK) first. It's the region of origin.

According to the Wikipedia page, Disney have picked up publishing rights in North America. So I guess that means it's coming out there.

As others have said though, it would be pretty simple to buy the UK version of the game on eBay, which would be a good option if it takes too long to hit American retailers. Don't worry about paying a little extra - I have to pay extra on my imported-from-America Buffy comics every month!

Warning: European game boxes are lame. They are extra fat to make room for the chunky manuals containing all the languages we have here, and box spines are usually plain white with black text rather than the colorful logos you find on American boxes.

Disney are gonna release a Buffy game..? Okay, now I've seen everything. 😉

Oh, and does anyone know any websites where I can pre-order the game? I'd rather buy it online, because I don't think any stores near me will stock it. I have a shop where I can get the comics, but no-where for the game.

Disney can do some wicked stuff....I remember going to Disney world for my Wife and My's one year anniversary and they had this really psycho alien...well not really ride but show.

They sprayed you with warm water in weird lighting to make it really seam like blood while this alien thing was ripping apart this poor fellow on top of a generator or something. It was awesome.

In my dream world there would be a Buffy ride right along the Aerosmith roller coaster or the galaxy tours star wars ride at Disney World..course that won't likely happen, but I can dream.

Is it a lock that will 'distribute' it after picking up the publishing rights? These game companies can sit on these things for awhile and dump em'. I'm not sure, but I think that was the case with the ghostbuster game before it got picked back up again by another publisher.

Disney have a fairly competent publishing arm, even if it can never decide if it wants to be Disney or Buena Vista. I think if they've bought it, they want it. It's not really their niche, is it? Perhaps they're looking to expand into the Buffyverse. That could be weird.

Might be weird but Disney can do campy adventure with a sprinkling of horror and friendships...Pirates for example.

They would not and could not legally do anything without Joss approval, but their track record kinda makes me think they could handle it in a way the fans could appreciate.

The StarTours ride represented StarWars really well, it was great! (and as a fickle starwars fan, I'm pretty hard to please.) They could treat Buffy right i'd bet, but if I see Minny Mouse in a blonde wig fighting goofy with fangs i may die from laughter.

Disney is a place for kids but from haunted mansion zombies to witches poisioning princesses or turning into dragons, it can appeal to more than the marry poppins and dumbo crowd....Disney...they're Edgy!

I hope they do branch out into the Buffyverse. (Still don't think it's likely though 🙁 ) But I'd settle for a game being published by them so I don't have to import.

Wikipedia isn't all that trustworthy. Apparently it said on there that Miley Cyrus was dead...(That made me laugh, though. 😛)

But, think about it, Disney is more for kids, so if they branched into the Buffyverse they'd have to tone down violence and stuff to make it 'child friendly' and then it wouldn't be the Buffy we know and love.

Agreed. They also have the "Touchstone" branding, which they usually use for the less kid-oriented films.

I've just realised....I would kill for Kingdom Hearts à¡ la Buffy. Now all I need to do is hunt down the head of Squenix, Disney, and Joss and tie them up in a room together till they sort something out.

Weeeee! I haven't gotten lost into a Buffy VG since the game (self-titled) was released back in 2002. Haha, I remember being feeling so badass in that game, and playing my Xbox way past my bedtime! Though, I think my past behavior with games may have caused unforeseen consequences on my mental health, lol. 😛 And I have a DS, but I'm not really a video game lover anymore but hey, I'll give it a shot for Buffy! Wiki says it's going to be released in the states next month, even though it isn't too trustworthy .. I hope it's true. Vroom vroom! 🙂

I pre-ordered the game and I'm getting it for my birthday. I really can't wait to play on it. 🙂 I love Chaos Bleeds (Though I still can't complete the quarry level, hmph.) so, hopefully if it's anything as good as that, it'll be great. 😉
