Definitely. I doubt the team of writers who are going to write the reboot are gonna write it to a standard like the BtVs writers. Also who are they gonna find someone to play Buffy better then SMG? For me Kristy Swanson wasn't so bad in the original movie. But how is Buffy gonna be Buffy without the Scooby Gang? 🙁
 
No. Just... no. Shouldn't be allowed, and needs to be stopped. It won't be a real Buffy movie, and it may even kill off any chance of actually having a real Buffy movie made. And to add insult to injury, chances are it'll be mediocre, generic and forgettable even without comparing it to the series.
 
Exactly my point! I reckon when the movie hits cinemas the people'll who will go to watch it will be devoted Buffy fans to see how terrible it is and Twilight-obsessed fans who will after watching it go on about how terrible Buffy is (due to this movie).
 
The Buffy movie may be good even great, but it won't be Buffy. More likely it's going to suck like Dragonball Evolution and totally ruin a new generation of potential Buffy fans.
 
I'm not too proud of the reboot.

Everybody knows that you can not call something Buffy (with the exception of amazing fanfics 😛) without Joss Whedon.

I hear the reboot won't be good, but you never know for sure, but by looking at the facts you had it doesn't seem all that great.

One reboot movie cannot be darker than S6 or the rest of the series.

You also can't have a Buffy movie without Sarah or Alyson or any other of the original actors or characters, you can already tell it is not going to be close to what we've known for so long. Even Charisma Carpenter doesn't seem proud of the reboot without Joss

*sigh* Once it's available for rent (I'm not wasting money on buying it or sitting at theaters for it) I'll rent it and watch both the reboot and the first movie, compare, and see which is better...if my head can handle that much
 
It makes no difference if it's good or not, it won't be Buffy. Unless you get back Joss Whedon, all the old writers, cast and everyone that made BTVS what it was, it's not the same.
 
I know what I'm gonna be angry about. They're going to get some airhead-blonde actress to play Buffy. Someone who doesn't understand Buffy AT ALL! And they'll focus her on slaying vamps for three-quarters of the movie and come up with some lame backstory or something 🙁
