Oh goodness... a lot. I'm rewatching Cougar Town right now which is possibly my favorite current 30 minute show. Um... the highlights: Veronica Mars, HIMYM, Scrubs, Cougar Town, Modern Family, Smallville, Bones, Lie to Me, House, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Degrassi The Next Generation (season 1-7), Freaks and Geeks, Life Unexpected (ESPECIALLY season 1), Psych. There's more but those are the highlights. 🙂

BTW, TOTALLY buying your new book when it comes out in September. It looks really freaking awesome. And also buying your current book as soon as I can get the money (after I buy What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen which I have still not bought). Your descriptions remind me of Sarah Dessen (who happens to be my favorite author). I'm excited to read them!
 
Thank you! I adore Sarah Desssen. DREAMLAND basically changed my life. I haven't read What Happened To Goodbye yet, but its next on my list. I've read all ofher others. Shes' the reason I write realistic fiction, actually. If you like her, you should also read books by Elizabeth Scott. Especially PERFECT YOU. So good.

OMG, love your show list. For me its: Freaks and Geeks, Gossip Girl, Undeclared, HIMYM, Friends, Grey's Anatomy, Glee, Dead Like Me (just getting into this one via Netflix), The OC, Mad About You, Skins (UK version), and a ton, ton more. I so want to write for a teen drama one day.

As for Sarah Dessen's books... Just Listen changed my life. then Lock and Key changed it more. Seriously, she moves me.

Oh my god, I totally forgot Dead Like Me! So on my highlights! Teen Drama is a great genre. Out of the three movies I've written, two are teen drama. One of the shows I've got in my head is teen drama. 🙂
 
I'm obsessed with teen movies and teen TV. Cruel Intentions, Easy A, Juno, and Charlie Barlett are, like, my favorite movies ever. And The OC is the reason I watch TV at all. I discovered it and Buffy/Angel at the same time and fell in love.

I"m just now getting into Dead Like Me, but I LOVE it so much!
 
I still haven't seen Cruel Intentions because I'm a horrible person, but the other three movies you mentioned are three of my favorites!
 
Oooooooh watch Cruel Intentions! It is my favorite movie ever, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is absolutely fantastic in it!

It's on my list. I don't know why I haven't done it. I've been meaning to for a while. And I've been told I'm going to love it.
 
Welcome! I'm jealous of you for publishing books, that's one of my dreams but I don't have enough money for it. And I would love to write for television too, especially for Joss.

Dead Like Me is awesome!! If I recall there are no Whedon-style arcs, but I really, really love the show.

BTW, have you thought about writing something for the older crowd? Take a moment, and think about how great the following book would be:

Snoyce!! One Lifetime is Not Enough.


I think it could be a NY Times Bestseller, and the movie would be a smash!! Liam Neeson as Professor Snyder and Kate Beckinsale as Joyce.

Chosen Enemy - The only kind of publishign you have to pay for is self-publishing. The major publishing houses pay YOU. I'm from a poor family. I didn't pay a cent to get published, and now I"m writing full-time for a living.

I understand this, I just realized there are other factors about major publishing, which I can't remember right now, but I did check about publishing in general. I would love to know more about it though, if you could tell me and recommend the best way to do it (here on PM).
