Has anyone seen it yet??

My sisters have said its the greatest film of all time but seeing as how they only really like the movies due to jacob and edwards hotness (not my words) i tend to take their opinions with a pinch of salt.

So, is it any good?? The first one (from an objective pov) was decent, no more, no less. Plus Alice is totally awesome!!!

How old are your sisters? Greatest film of all time? LOL.
I saw the first half of it earlier and I liked it. The reason I only got to see 50% was because I was watching it on the internet and my computer kept overheating and turning off so I gave up 😛.

Robert (Edward) is a really good actor, and so is Taylor (Jacob), in my opinion. I absolutely can't stand Kristen Stewart (Bella), though. She speaks so flatly and the lines she says she makes so unbelieveable that it made it hard for me to actually concentrate on the movie. I know that's a bit harsh, but it's how I feel. She can't act to save her life. The movie itself is good, but since I'm not a fan of the books (even though I've read them), I wasn't in a rush to see it. And tbh I'm not in a complete rush to watch the other half, either. It was a mix of exasperating (Kristen), good, and alright. 🙂

I don't like admitting it, even to myself, but seeing Jacob topless was the main (*cough* only *cough*) reason I wanted to see it. (;

I would not say it is the greatest film of all time haha. Compared to the first one, this one was fantastic. Compared to other movies, it was pretty good. The scenes where Edward and Bella were talking about how much they love eachother were a yawn. But oh my jacob, Taylor Lautner's abs made me giddy. He is quite the little actor as well. The wolf pack was adorable. The fight scene with CGI between Laurent and the wolves was freakin AMAZING. And when that guy from the Volturi was smashing Edward around? Great choreography.

Definitley worth going to check out. My friend described this one as more of a guy type movie than Twilight was because there was alot of butt whooping.

I think Kristen's work in other films, like The Cake Eaters is fantastic. Her acting was superb and she really got into the role for those. She is alright at acting in this in my opinion. I was wondering if anybody else notices how she blinks so much? It drives me crazy!

Alrighty, let's please keep talk of illegal download viewing of blockbuster films (in this case "Twilight", obviously) off of the Boards, if ya please. We'll get in loads of trouble. :: tu ::

Of course, what you do on your own time is your business. 😉

As for this flick, I'm too old to watch it (I feel bad enough that I allowed myself to get sucked into watching "Vampire Diaries" every week. 😛), although I am told the soundtrack is great.

oops, sorry, I wasn't thinking!
Honestly? I thought it was amazing! Seriously... I actually saw the first movie before reading the books and loved it. Then after I read the books I could totally see why a lot of people were pissed off because the first movie was probably literally taken from about 75 pages of the book. "New Moon", on the other hand, stays almost completely true to the book and that's what made it awesome. The CGI is incredible, and I have to say that my favorite scenes are almost all centered around the wolfpack. 🙂 As a die hard fan of the Twilight saga, I was incredibly happy with this movie, and I beg those of you who say you hated the first one to please give this one a chance before completely writing off the whole series as some sick obsession between Bella and Edward.

I likely will not see it anytime soon.

I saw the first one a couple times (I work at a Youth Centre and have a very vocal group of 12 year girls who adored the movie and demanded we watch it).

It's not my cup of tea, and all the girls I know are talking about how hot certain characters are; doesn't really mean much to me and certainly doesn't dictate whether a movie is good or not. I also thought the actors were pretty much ass in the first film.

Plus, I find the cliche of an outcast girl falling in love with an outcast boy, who's got serious brooding skills, to be kind of uninspired.

All the more power to the people though. I watched Transformers 2 with glee, and although it'll never be a classic movie or a movie I'll call "an all time great", it'll still be a film I enjoy watching for the shear shallowness and action. Perhaps that's all Twilight is, except for a different demographic.

Well i saw it yesterday. It was FANTASTIC! And cant wait for the new movie 3! 🙂 I hope they will be married ans Isabella will be a vampire.

I've seen it three times this week. I went to the midnight screening and that was a lot of fun. I didn't really know what to expect - I'm team Edward and I didn't know if I'd like a movie with all that jacob in it but, ya know, it was really good. My one complaint is that it is perhaps a little long. I loved the length of Twilight and for me, I think the extra half-hour is a little too much. About the last five minutes before Alice comes back I was thinking, 'right, time to move on' and then it did so, not a big issue. Loved the wolf chase scene, loved the Italy stuff and loved the ending. It is very angsty but there are some very (intentionally) funny bits too. I do think its better than the book. The music is good, I got the soundtrack and while not as instantly likeable as Twilight was, it does grow on you though the score is not a patch on the first film - it's just a bit blah where as some of the instrumental peices from Twilight I still listen to regularly. So yeah, if you like twilight go and see it.

Isn't that what happens in the novels?

Are they mixing the fourth and third book together, or what? I only heard they plan on doing 3 films. With the amount of money they're making, I can't imagine they cut themselves short and not make a 4th movie.

If she hasn't read the books, don't spoil it for her. 😉
They have been signed to do 4 films total, so Breaking Dawn will get it's own movie. There has even been talk about doing two movies for Breaking Dawn, which I hope they DON'T do. 🙁 It needs to be made into one LONG movie. I'm talking, like, "Titanic" long. 🙂

I think it was a great movie! Didn't like the book that much (I can't stand Bella) but the movie was fantastic! Though I'm more a team Edward then team Jacob and the whole movie was about Bella and Jacob. I think Robert, Taylor, Ashley and the other actors are great, but I think (and I think I'm the only one who feels about it that way) Kirsten is not a good actress at all. She speaks so flatly and she does a weird thing with her eyebrow and mouth that really irritates me. But despite that, it was a great movie with fantastic actors (Sorry for the Kirstenfans)

Hey guys remember to put spoilers in spoiler tags if your putting them in!

I saw this the other day, and thought it was so bad, like actually one of the worst movies i've seen in a long time, I didn't like Twilight (with the exception of the baseball scene) but this looked like it wasn't so much a a mushy love story from the ads, whichh showed all the awesome action parts.

I really like the scene with Victoria in the woods, the rest was all crap I thought.

Before I get attacked thats just my opinion, and it may be becase I'm a 22 year old male, but I will not be checking out the rest of the movies!

Sorry, I wasn't entirely sure it was a spoiler or not (I haven't read the books). I should've known better though. My bad.

I just mean that technically the fourth film hasn't been greenlit yet. I expect it will be, but they company that owns the rights to all four books hasn't officially given a go to the fourth film, yet.

I haven't read the books, so I don't know if I can attribute this to the movies or just Stephanie Meyer, but the pacing seems strange to me. Did anyone else think that?

The movie was decent; I probably would've liked it more if I was invested in the story or the characters, but I'm not really. I decided to watch it just because of the hype, plus I saw the first movie. 😛 The music selection was superb, though.

I saw it the other day, and must admit, enjoyed it far more more then I thought I would. It's worth seeing. The werewolf effects are awesome, and I love the director's filming style.

I seen this yesterday. I hated the first one, and got dragged to this. It was ok. My friends loved it, but they loved the books. A few good points - Taylor Lautner was actually really good, he even handled some of the dodgier dialogue pretty well, and man, there was a lot of dodgy dialogue. Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning were great, but no surprise there, they're always great. I liked the leader of the wolf pack too. Some pretty decent CGI as well, and I like this take on werewolves - not a human/wolf hybrid thingy, nope, just big old wolves.
Now the bad. Edward and Bella are really unlikable, she's a pouty little brat, and he has the personality of a 2x4. They belong together. Really bad acting from them as well. Edward looks constipated the entire film. I'll give him a break though because any interviews I've seen with Robert Pattinson he seems like a nice chap. And he is quite good in the last section of the film.
Kristin Stewart seems like a douche off camera though, so I'll have at it. 😀 The blinking, the exhaling, and the return of that 'cuhhhh" noise she makes - christ. Bad actress and an unlikable character, not a good match.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I really dislike Rob Pattinson in the film, he just looks so... blargh. But in other roles not as Edward or just in interviews and in photos, he's such a handsome fellow! I don't understand, haha. He seems to be a funny guy too.

I can't stand Edward. I'm totally 'Team Jacob' or whatever. But I have nothing against Rob.

Rob is, for me, THE major attraction about the whole thing
I have to admit, I would not have cast Kristen and Rob as my first choice, for sure. I don't know who I would have cast instead, but their acting styles don't really "feel" like Edward and Bella to me, after having read the books so many times.

My friend said exactly the same thing. She thought Kristen and Rob didn't gel so well in this film. I enjoyed it but I got really annoyed with Bella and Edwards moping, I hated the parts where Bella was screaming in her sleep like that. Taylor was really good though, I thought he played Jacob well in this installment. Loved the wolf pack and the entire Italy part. I think I had to be the only person who cringed when Taylor took his shirt off though.

I had my ticket for New Moon preordered since like 2 weeks before halloween, so I was able to watch it on the 20th. It was such an excellent movie and I loved it so much better than the book as it was a heck of alot less depressing. I love how well they made the wolves and their transformations. Seriously this movie has made me a bigger Jacob fan and i think Taylor is doing an amazing Job playing him seriously he's the reason i'm so much more into Jacob because he is just so funny in the movie. There were definately parts that I wish they stuck more to the book but they really did a fantastic job I think and I seriously can not wait till june for Eclipse... As for Robert Pattinson and his Character Edward I'm really pleased how they added him in more then the book did because It was fantastic to see him still part of the movie alot and its definately always nice to see Alice too 🙂 I also think that Dakota Fanning did an excellent job as Jane she pulled her off so well which was something I was quite worried about from her previous roles of good two shoes girls. Kristen was great as always though I think they could have made Bella a bit more depressive than she was. I seriously wish they'd kept more too the book on Bella's falling apart... Still Team Edward though 😀
