New Slayer?

Because they had Faith. Simple as that! And, I think Buffy is just as much "The real Slayer" as Faith is, even more so!
 
I think Faith is still the "real" slayer...Buffy isnt actually alive so that makes Faith the one chosen girl.


I know everyone will disagree and i love Buffy but it all makes sence when you think about it
 
I'm not sure if this is already mentioned here because I was too lazy to read all of those answers. 😀 So here's something that was in Alternative Buffy Finale Script. Because this might be a little bit spoilerish to someone I'm putting this in spoiler tags...

Buffy:"When I died, the second time. No new slayer was called. Because Dawn was me...is me. The monks who sent her here made her from me and now the line moves through all three of us. That's the rule... The mystical forces surrounding the Chosen ones have been destabilised and we can't fix them. The line is vulnerable and we can't put things back the way they were. So we're going to change the way things are. Here's the part where you make a choice."

I think that makes sense. 🙂
 
yea it makes sense, but i also want to know the answer to meslayer's question, well even now, what happens when they all go kaputt...i mean when they all die?
 
I don't think it can ever happen....but let's pretend it's possible-I think a new Slayer'd be somehow called..or an old one'd be resurrected..
 
A new slayer will be called in like 100 years which that slayer will be Fray as we already know that from the comic that slayers were there but none were actually truly called so one day all of the potentials who were called already will be killed off somehow
 
is that possible anymore? I mean I thought they had to die a "supernatural" death? And if they all die of old age, Where are all the Slayers?if all the potentials were called, then there's no more potentials...right?Someone help, because I feel so lost...
 
im just adding to something discussed earlier- i think that the reason the first was saving buffy till last because if she died then the alteration caused to the mystical force protecting the slayer line (which allowee the first to act) would be reversed cos the beljoxis eye said its not cos she died but cos she lives, therefore if she died then it should be reversed.

It was fanfic. Even if it's connected to the book, it doesn't matter. The books are just professional fanfic. Joss disavows any connection to them, other than monetary.

The whole connection with Dawn to the slayer line thing comes from the so-called alternative script. It's a fanfic idea, that has nothing to do with the reality of the Buffyverse as Joss and company have presented it.

As far as what happens after the potentials die, that's explained in Fray. Fray is Buffyverse, because Joss Whedon wrote it.

This is what happens. There is a giant battle in which a slayer, perhaps aided by mystical allies banishes all demons and magiks from this reality. After that girls still appear with the power, but they are never "chosen", meaning they are never given a watcher and trained, or shown where to direct their power. They have nothing to fight. The watchers degenerate into a cult of madmen.

At the time of Fray a vampire army is forming with the intention of re-opening the connection between this reality and the demon one. This is why Fray is called. The watchers however have gone nuts, so a demon is sent to train, and direct her towards the battle against supernatural evil.

Joss has promised to explain all this better when he writes the next Fray.
