New TV Shows This Season....Reviews

everyone should watch or at least give a try to house and desperate housewives, the writing is really terrific plus house himself is such a great character i love his humor and the darkness to it, also great supporting cast, as for the housewives to me this show never gets boring great plot twists all the time

Karma for House....this,mind you,coming from a devoted House-aholic!
Relic... I'm not sure if I'm breakingh news to ya here or not but the f-tards over at NBC ALREADY gave My Own Worst Enemy the axe: Get Latest Headlines
Breaking: NBC Axes 'Lipstick,' 'Enemy'
. I'm REALLY mad about this one, I was LOVING this show! Christian Slater was rocking those roles so hard that I could almost see the Emmy statue in his hand. But I guess I really shouldn't be too surprised... it was a smart, well written, witty, funny, dramatic, action packed show that actually required viewers to THINK... of course they cancelled it.

thanks for the info, sad as it is. :(
I don't blame NBC for canceling "My Own Worst Enemy" one bit. The pilot was kind of a stinker, and I didn't watch after that. And the ratings were HORRID, it lost a significant amount of viewers each week, I think the last aired episode got only four million viewers, behind Heroes. That's really, really, really bad. Although, according to some reviews, the original pilot script was MUCH better than the one we ended up seeing, so I guess NBC is probably to blame for raping a promising show.

Anyway, here are the new shows I've checked out this season:

*Fringe - On broadcast television this is my favorite new show. It's a bit too formulaic, and I wish they'd break that, but overall it's good.

*True Blood - My favorite new cable series. It's very flawed, IMO, but it's really entertaining trash TV.

*The Life & Times of Tim - Everyone should check this out on HBO. It's effing HILARIOUS.

*The Mentalist - The second best new show on broadcast TV, ironic that it's competition is Fringe. (And TM and Fringe are the only "hits" this fall.)

*Kath & Kim - It's decent, I'm glad it got a full season which means it can work out its kinks.

*90210 - Boring. I still watch sometimes.

*Privileged - Very funny and charming show, deserves more buzz than 90210.

*Eleventh Hour - Only saw the pilot so far, I'll watch some more but the dialogue is really terrible.

*Worst Week - I watched the first three. I actually enjoyed it for the most part, but I don't think I'll continue watching. Just not enough time.

And those are the only ones I've checked out so far. If ABC orders a full season of "Life on Mars" I'll probably give that one a shot, but it doesn't look good enough to risk the effort if it's gonna get canceled.

Forgot one of my Monday nighters.....The almost always super "2 and a half men" though Jake anymore seems more 3/4. (at least in intellectual maturity comparisons to Charlie and Alan)

It's odd to watch kids grow up on shows...and somehow sad as well.
