No Ordinary Family premieres tonight

I thought it was a decent pilot, for sure has potential & I'm glad that it had good ratings going in & really hope it keeps up the momentum. I will for sure keep with it. Julie Benz was great but for me the greatest surprise was Autumn Reeser! I love her so much and had no clue she was going to be in this, and she ROCKED it!

Geez, I finally got around to watching it tonight. Tried to force my kids to watch it with me; they only watched parts of it. I liked it. I thought how they introduced the superpowers would be lame, but it was actually pretty good. I don't mind the son's superpower being math: reminds me of that show NUMBERS (although I admit to only seeing it a few times). Anyway, I'm curious as to how the show develops, so yeah, I'll keep watching.

Is it just math? I thought it would be more along the lines of "solving problems". It'd have a wider range and could be pretty interesting to explore.

I just finished the second episode. It got potential but 'm not sure that they'll live up to it. So far I'm not hooked but it doesn't scare me away either. I'll give it a few more episodes at least.

The husband gets the power so he can protect the family while the mother get one that help her do the chores of a mother. That didn't feel very surprising. Hearing thoughts and having trouble because of it of course felt very "Earshot" and the son I hope have some kind of "super brain". I wonder if the daughter will be able to evolve her powers and in time even manage to control people's thoughts. Which of course would feel very "Heroes" but what can you do. Having "only" the ability to read minds feel a bit lame as a superpower.

There was one thing that annoyed me though and that was Julie's superspeed. She ... runs, what was it? One mile in six seconds and her clothes don't get torn? Puh-lease.

Didn't the assistent bring it up? She seems to have a lot of questions, totally justified. Not sure if she came up with an answer though. I was more wondering about how she affects the surroundings. Even if she just missed the kids on the bikes the wind she causes should have made them fall. But maybe that's just me.

Yes, I totally thought of Earshot too, esp with the 3rd episode that just aired.
Is this a good show? I joined a forum about it because this other forum I'm a member of recommended it, but I haven't actually watched it yet.

I'm REALLY lovin' NOF! It's great! Julie Benz is great! 🙂 Plus, wasn't Kay Panabaker in Angel as well??? As the little girl in the white room???

Gonna have to watch this now, didn't know that Michael Chiklis is in it as well. Two seasons into the Shield right now and I love it. One of the best shows I've ever seen, and he's really good in it.
