No show Sarah

Ah well it's not like we can do any thing about it the buffy dvds are over and done with. but i cant wait for the complete series dvd in november it might look good.

I half agree with most of you here, on different points.

Points of interest - I don't believe SMG is interviewed on any of the DVDs, she only attended one fan conference (which was for a film, not Buffy), and has said in recent interviews she was "ashamed as a woman" over scenes in Season 6 of Buffy.

Anyone know why she was ashamed of some scenes in season 6 & what the scenes were?

During an interview used as the basis of a multi-page article in the June 2004 edition of Elle magazine she is claimed to have said, "Where I had a problem is when Buffy got together with Spike. It became very S&M and I felt degraded as an actress."

In particular, it was suggested that she didn't like the scene in 'Dead Things' on the balcony in The Bronze, although the article (not Gellar, to be absolutely clear about this) mistakenly refers to the presence/use of a pool table, which simply suggests that the writer was not entirely clear about the facts. The article does not refer to the episode by name.

The quote has no context whatsoever because we have no idea what else Gellar said during the interview in relation to this subject or the nature of the question she was being asked. However, some fans responded badly to her comment at the time, reading all sorts of weird and wonderful meanings into it and the whole thing got completely blown out of all proportion.

It's all water under the bridge now.

Thanks for the info!

I understand your point completely..and I guess she does seem slightly different..but I think she is just tired as being known as "Buffy", and she just wants to be known as "Sarah". If that makes any sense.

She doesnt have to do anything for us if she doesnt want to, she did great all 7 seasons and I love her for it. But I do miss her when I watch outtakes and extras. I would love to hear her opinions, I didnt see any interview cause I was either in school, or at work and didnt know they were on, or didnt care cause I didnt watch the show back then, but since I got hooked a couple years back I want to see stuff, and there is nothing on the dvds, not even outtakes, which are my favorite...I am glad tho that Emma, James, Alyson, Nick, and Tony were on them, I enjoyed watching, especially on the bonus disk in the chosen collection. Loved it.

I also have to add that people are saying she did do interviews and things like that at the beginning, well of course she did, if she didnt properly promote the show it may not have taken off, and she would be out a job, so she had to do it to get the show going and keep it going, and once it was going...I didnt see anymore sarah....and she should never think of Buffy badly because of the type of show, a great show it is indeed. New merchandise is being made and even old stuff is selling for good money, and sideshow toys releases new sideshows all the time which always sell out, even the new one for 250 dollars sold out right away, doesnt that tell her something about the show? It is great and she should not shy away from that....She is a great actress and I love everything she does, but I wish she would have been in some outtakes, that would have been funny.

Good luck in everything you do SMG.

Joss said (something like this) somewhere: If "Buffy" is what they gonna put on my gravestone - I´m pleased with that.

I think Sarah should be just as proud... And if she´s not... I think she will be, eventually.
