Non-canon 'ship scenes.

Honestly, it was so long ago that I can't even tell you WHAT made me decide I wanted to read Spander fic. Keep in mind, I've changed a lot in the last ten or twelve years. I've gone from a teenager who's favorite character was Spike and shipped Spuffy like it was going out of fashion to a 30 year old woman who can't stand Spike in any and all incarnations and finds it physically upsetting that I shipped Spuffy in any form. So no, I can't honestly tell you what scene or moment or line made me ship Spander - it just happened.

For me it was my sister. She was a huge Spander fan and she used to print all sorts of fanfic, I started reading the fanfic she printed starting from Sands of Time and to The Stranger Things Series and I was hooked.

I think what helped was that at that time I already took a liking to Xander's character, so I was okay reading any Xander fanfic. It just happened to be Spander that I started reading.

Now I'm less into Spander since I've read every possible fic out there, not counting the fics written in the past two years, and I'm more into Xander/Giles now.

Xander/Giles is my pairing now! 😀
