Omg. I think it would be amazing if he missed. I mean, I don't even see how he actually shot her in the first place, but lets not get into that. I hated it when she died. I was crying for like hours. I just think it would be best for the whole show if she hadn't died. But that's just my opinion. 🙂

If Xander had been shot I could see Willow seeking vengeance on Warren but like TaylorSwift said Tara would have made her see reason and stopped her. I dont think she would have gone as dark though. I think the main reason she goes dark when Tara dies is (aside from being completely and utterly in love with her) she had just gotten Tara back and given up Magic for her and then to lose her after just getting her back sent her over the edge. Like why should she give up magic when she cant have Tara now. Then it became why live, why let the world go on.

Willow taking it to the extreme lol

I agree with the part where you say that the whole thing that had happened with Tara beforehand impacted on her turning dark, and if it was not Tara who died, she wouldn't have went THAT crazy. 😉

On the other hand I still think that if Xander had been shot WITH Buffy, it would have pissed her off QUITE a lot! I wonder though... Would they have even heard the shots from up there?

Wander would have still ended up dead, I'm sure.

Tara was only really close to Dawn and Willow, so they were the most effected by her death. But, Xander was an integral part of the group. His death would've deeply effected everyone. Willow had to pretty much deal with Tara's death alone--she watched, helpless, as her girlfriend died in her arms-- and took it upon herself to deal with the situation. Maybe, if had been Xander the group would've united to deal with Warren more quickly. Maybe, the support, or just having others there, would help Willow not to go dark. I don't really know.

But, if Xander died, it's not Willow's reaction I'd be most interested in seeing. It'd be Anya's. Just an episode or two before, Anya had been going around hoping someone would wish pain, or possibly death, on Xander. And, now he's dead. Would she feel guilty at the horrible irony of the situation? Or, as a newly re-instated vengeance demon, would she take it upon herself to avenge Xander, like Willow did with Tara? Anya may've not liked Xander, but she still had feelings for him.

hmmm I never really thought of this! I think it would have been interesting to see Anya's reaction. and maybe as the new vengeance demon she would have been the one trying to end the world instead of Willow...makes sense!

hmm very interesting topic! 🙂 I do believe Willow would have still gone dark regardless of tara's death(that just made it trigger). In my opinion you could see her loosing control of her magic way before Tara's death. I mean her and Tara were almost over just cause of it. So I think she'd still have gone evil.

I think the way they did it though was very creative and interesting. If they'd a done it any other way it would have changed alot. Willow wouldn't have gone to Giles and the Coven for help and learned to control and use her powers the way she did in "chosen". it also would have changed alot within the Trio. like would Andrew have joined the scoobies? Woud he have killed his friend Johnathan? or woul Warren be skinned dead and after them in Season 8 with Amy? So I mean it would change alot if it was done differently. So i think they did it just fine. I do miss tara's character though 🙁
