This thread failed in its prime directive. My own fault really. I guess I have great difficulty making myself clear. I suppose it originates from the assumption that if I think it, others too, must think it. Oh well, all I can do is try harder next time. Though I don't know how to come into the middle ground of forcing my opinions on people and expressing the concepts I have in a manner that people can understand and relate to.

But just to get back to curry for a sec...back in '91 or so, I took a trip to L.A. with a bud. He's from India originally and his mom's a great Indian cook. Pretty mild cooking. Anyways, we went down to Orange County cos said bud has an aunt and uncle there. Auntie made curry chicken. The spiciest damn food I've ever eaten. I was crying, they were snickering, it was sad, heh. But I love Indian food. I've heard that spices actually kill bacteria in food, so it makes sense to use it, beyond just the taste. We stayed overnight, and that morning, there was an earthquake. Like a 5.3 or something. I'm in southern California for less than a day and get zapped by a quake! Cool. Now, just need to experience a hurricane, tornado up close...pyroplastic flow...
 
A hot and spicy chicken vindaloo will give me more "pyroclastic flow" than is really necessary, without the need for any volcanoes to be involved...a case of "Both ends burning", as Roxy Music once sang 😉
 
Aw man, that reminds me, I got food poisoning when I was out in Cali too!! Truly felt like I was gonna die. It wasn't from the Indian food though. Roxy Music. I love Love is the Drug, think that's my fave. What's the best road music I wonder...I like Bruce, Dylan for the open road...Johnny Cash...
 
On the subject of curry, if anybody want a full extensive comprehensive guide on curry they should invest in the British tv show, Red Dwarf. Full of facts and little intricacies on the magic that is curry!:silly:

Though, I'd be surprised if I had anything to actually add to the conversation, I just find the threads kind of.. dull.

If you think hockey is bad, you should see our OTHER official sport...lacrosse...makes hockey look like...well...soccer...;)

lol this is defintely a me sport.. althought i play soccer i prefer this one! :silly:

not really i love soccer 😉
 
No difference with the violence really. It's just with soccer the fights are in the stands.
 
Urgh, my brother and his friends are around and "play fighting". Wouldn't be so bad except for the fact they are all 16.
