(Hope you mods don't mind........😱 )

I was completely had!Hook, line and sinker! In the last five minutes I was shouting at the T.V:
ME:"What are they doing ?!?Have they completely lost the plot!?! F****** writers, what a load of rubbish!!I can't believe they're having sex!!That's ridiculous!!" and so on and so forth..... ::huh1:: Oh well, how wrong can I get......... 😱 .......That was another great twist, great episode!Christ, are they ever in the doo-doo now?!?I really fell sorry for Angel,no Cordy,no Connor, the Beast is still around, and freaking Angelus :: hiding:

(Hope you mods can forgive me.......:: teeth : )

I found this episode kinda dull, if it wasn't for the twist in the story at the end, I probably would never watch this episode again. I can't put my finger on what it was that bored me so much... it was petty much the whole thing.

I give it one star *.

i really liked them ep. it was so annoying the way everything got resolved and then it was all a dream. it would have been the best ep ever if COrdelia telling Connor she isn't his was real. i give it 4 out of 5

i realised it was a dream when cordy was asking for help when the column fell down. Normal cordelia would have gotten out of there herself. Also the wes and gunn scenes were a little off and so that was another clue - I mean not one insult - obviously a dream.
I did love that ep. though
5 stars *****

so who's dream was this then? i found it really confusing!! is this angels dream? so the beast is still alive then? aww i'm sooooo confused <scratches head>

I think Angel was hypnotised (or something similar) by the Shamen guy, to persuade him that he had a 'true bliss' moment so his soul could be extracted. That was my take anyway.

Angel was convinced through magic that everything that was wrong in his life was resolved and he could have the necessary moment of happiness.

That way, the shamen could extract his soul and place it in the jar.

That is my read on the eppy, anyway.

I thought something was off when Cordy had her vision and her eyes went white, it didn't seem normal. At the end I hoped it would be a dream because everything was resolved too quickly.

Havent seen it yet, watcing it tomorrow on Sky One at 11pm when it is repeated!!!

The question on my mind is, why did he say 'buffy' just at the pivital moment? Was it because to him she is irrevocably linked to him losing his soul or for a somewhat more mushy reason?

I hate to say that I found this episode really dull......right until the end. I did love some of the fantasy bits though, like the Connor/Angel exchanges, Cordy saying 'she's not yours'.

The end blew my mind though, although I was thinking to myself, this is ending all too easily, I didnt think itd all be one big fake!!

When the shaman said something about illusion and reality, I was like ohhhhh!!! Great shock and now we have the return of Angelus to look forward to.

I think my favourite part of the episode would be when Angel tells Connor that if things go wrong, he'll have to kill him and Connor replies really simply, 'okay'. Oh and I also loved that right at that moment, Angel said Buffy.

One little thing niggled me slightly... the way Cordelia talked to Angel about Angelus, and the way that Angelus was smart in a devious, sadistic twisted way, she seemed pretty complacent about bringing back Angelus, when in past seasons and episodes she's been pretty vehemently against Angelus in any way shape or form.

I liked this episode a lot. I kind of guessed it was a dream after the ritual was supposed to have failed the first time. And yeah, i think it was a version of Angel's perfect day. I thought the love scene with Cordelia was pretty graphic but when he opened his eyes and he was in the cage (it was cool the way the two shots merged).. Angelus's laugh sent honest to God shivers down my spine.

Batten down the hatches, because here comes Hurricane Angelus!!!! :: hiding:

I so can't wait for next week's episode 😀

Another brilliant episode!!!

I dont know what to say really!!! There were a few parts I really enjoyed, more than other parts!!!

I disliked Cordy in it!!!

I agree with you fully seeing red it was a great episode and i also did not think much od Cordy in it as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In season one Angelus appeared because of a drug (can't remember what it was called now) so why can't they use the same drug, at least they could control how long he was Angelus for by giving him more of the drug or not? They could tie him up and get the answers then leave him until he turned back to Angel.

The drug that Angel was given was called Doximal, and it gave him a moment of synthetic bliss. They need Angelus to figure out the connection to The Beast, and giving him Doximal wouldn't make it for long enough. I don't know if this makes any sense, but he has to be truly Angelus as the drug would keep wearing off. And God knows what the side-effects could be from prolonged use. 🙂

OMG, i wa thinking how stupid are they? at the end and then it all came together and i was just WOW! how unexpected was that. I really loved this eppy, it was great.

I think I guessed that something was up when Wes apologised. it just didn't seem right somehow.

I like that they are bringing back some of the humour from the first series ("I knew you two would get me into trouble one day"). I'm looking forward to the events that I'm going to detail in a seperate post where spoilers are alerted.
