I dont know where to start...!
It was so odd, i didnt cry once! I had tears in my eyes but the whole thing was just... brilliant! I really dont know where to start!
I think the main thing for me was the whole idea that sinc the beginning, buffy has struggled to accept the fact that shes the slayer and that means isolation, great responsibility and the inability to lead a normal life - she is alone. We have seen it more than ever in S7. The great thing here - and we saw it in the great last second, where buffy's expression 'said' it all - is that it is all different now. She has finally got what she has wanted all along. That bit made me more tearful than anything else - i was so happy for her!
Anyas death didnt seem a huge event, i agree, but it was huge for those watching it. Loved the bunny reference! lol.
But there was so much humour in this episode, i cant write about it all here (well i could, but this post will already be too long😉)! How cute was andrew! And xander "thats my girl"!?!?! lol. And classic xander humour - "party in my eye socket - all invited" - LOL! I LOVE HIM!
Great purposeful references to classic buffy and earlier series, and the original 'gang'. Also, go willow!
I have never loved and SiTs, but i have to say i loved all the seconds where Vi was 'vamping it up' - scuze the pun. And the bit where they showed all the potentials in the world gain power... that was gorgeous! What a great idea, breaking the one motto that has always represented the show - "into every generation a slayer is born". Gorgeous idea.
Go Joss. What a guy.
Talked too much, sorry, but let me have my last essay about the last episode! 😉
Cant believe its over but nice 'open' bang to go out with. I didnt expect to be so satisfied without the death of buffy but im so happy she didnt die. I liked the fact its so open and the original gang all lived, especially buffy. So happy shes still alive and the great 'finish' was so great a finish without a 'death 'finish' - our imaginations can now run free in happiness!
😀
