Okay so fess up... Who cried?

I did. Right around when Anya got killed. I really let loose when Xander was calling out for Anya.

I also had to cry. First, because Spike and Anya died and secondly, it was the last episode! I will never watch any new buffy episode again and this made me very sad because it was routine to watch it and see all the new problems the have to handle... okay I know there must be an end but I just adapted to watch it

Spikes death didn't bother me in the slightest. Neither did the 'speach'. Anya's was more of a shock.

The final scene where Buffy smiled I cried though. =[

You know when I cried? Just at this moment:

They're at Sunnydale HS. Everyone has been sent off to take up their posts, and ready for the final battle. Buffy turns, and slowly walks the halls. I swear to god I started tearing up right then. I'm tearing up right now thinking of it. 🙂 I started remembering that first time they all met, and heard all their voices, things they said, all the battles they fought, all the friends they lost, and all the little moments the Scoobies shared through the years. And it all lead up to this, single moment. Because only real friends would actually go to battle for you. And there they were, all still together.

And then? She meets the Scoobies in the hall and they shoot the breeze, just like old times. At that point, I started laughing and crying. lol They wanna go shopping. There's a sale. Somebody wants new shoes. There's that new mall that's supposed to be really cool. And then... a silence. This is the end. It feels ominous. They look each other in the eye... and then walk their separate ways.

Then Giles pipes in: "The earth is doomed."

I busted out laughing. 😀 Damn you, Joss! :cheering:

All of us crybabies will probably be able to severely appreciate this Chosen/BtVS tribute video: YouTube - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Final Battle. I'm always moved when I watch this, so beware those of you who cry very easily, have the hankies on standby. 🙂

That vid just gave me shivers!.

I like to cry over TV. I have NEVER cried at ANYTHING more than I have the last episode of Ally Mcbeal!!! I was in tears, so bad it could have matched that of actual severe greif people experience.

I just finished watching the entire series for the 5th time...and yes, I cried at the end. I'm a total Spuffy shipper so of course the tender moments w/ them in the last few episodes are the best... and then the end when they interlock hands, it's just amazing.

It's so sad when there's no more episodes. It's almost like an empty feeling because you know there's no more (except for the comics, but thats not the same..)

I know everyone says it, and it's been talked about way too much, but I really really really hope they do a Buffy movie someday soon.

I cried the first time I watched it, mostly because Buffy had become such a big part of my life and this episode was ending it all. I was sitting there just like "what am I going to do with myself now?" But also because Spike, who was my favourite character, and Anya, who was also up there were dead.

There's a lot of reasons to cry in this episode.

The fact that it's the last, Spike's death, Anya's death, and the "not so much potentials anymore" girls' death

I'm a big, fat baby....of course I cried!

Did I bawl though? Not so much. I gets me choked up that it was the final...THE final (we shall not speak of season 8 here). That the final moments were so hopeful. It was kinda like watching The Prom in terms of cry-babiness for me.

Let's just say that Buffy makes me cry more than my cheating ex boyfriend! Which is wacko enough in itself.
'Chosen' didn't make me cry though - I just got very emotional and that twisted butterfly feeling in my stomach during certain parts of the episode - when all the slayers are activated and Willow's spell and Anya's death etc.

Definately doesn't get me like 'The Gift' or 'The Prom' [when they give her the award I always cry 🙁]

Watching Chosen.

Anya just died.

I am bawling like a little baby.
And it hits me that hard EVERY TIME.

🙁 poor anya. poor xander.

I shed a little tear everytime The First is taunting Buffy and everything is going horribly and Buffy just looks at it and says "I want you to get out of my face." And stands up and everything starts going the right way for our gang.

I'm just a softy for uplifting moments.... my biggest shame: I cried when superman saved the plane and the whole baseball field claps for him in Superman Returns... so I love all moments like that where people come together in a hopeful moment.

I'm not so much of a cry-er, so I didn't cry. Sure, it was emotianal, and I was pissed that Anya and Spike died, but I started with Buffy at OMWF, so I knew that after Chosen I would still have loads of episodes (in fact, most episodes) to watch. So no crying for me. I haven't watchded it again, though. Maybe this time it will be different, because I know a lot more about the characters and so on

I cried when I put it on because I knew it would be the last one!!

I balled at the end and for maybe about 15 minutes after because it was the end and Spike's death hit me hard. (I never watched Angel while I was watching Buffy so I had no clue). I was so pissed that he didn't at least try to make a run for it and the whole "No, you don't" thing...

Then the last scene was amazing, so yeah I cried A LOT!

i cried.

the idea of the last episode of buffy was part of it. watching a show religiously for 7 years and then seeing it end is emotional on it's own.

in general it was a strong last episode. with the exception of anya's death (i personally found it cheap and unnecessary). i cried when buffy had her moment with spike at the end, mostly... it pretty much summed up their relationship. it was nice of buffy to tell him that she loved him, though. and i believe she did, in her way.

as far as endings go, i think that season 5's finale was much stronger and heartbreaking. Though Im so beyond happy that we got two more seasons. my fingers are crossed for a movie... which wont happen. but a girl can dream!!!!

Oh. God. The look on Buffy's face when she thinks she may have a chance to be free. A chance to not be the only slayer destined to stop evil. What a lovely moment.
