So, did anybody watch the premiere Sunday night? I loved it! Just the right amount of fairy tale without being Disney, and the right amount of action/suspense/creepiness but not too scary. I might even let my kids watch it, I think I'll give it another episode to see what I think. The only part I was iffy on was when the boy left the book in Emma's car and she muttered "little bastard".

I didn't realise it had started, is it always going to be on Sunday night? Not that the day means much to me not being in America!

I watched it. It was good, but kinda cheesy. I really like Ginnifer Goodwin, so I'll continue watching, especially because Emma Caulfield is gonna be in it. 😀

I watched it, and I think that it has real potential if it's handled right, but I can't help but think that it's a story that doesn't lend itself to a long term series. Barring some other stories besides "Snow White" being included, just how long can they drag this out? One season, maybe two, and it starts to turn into "The Days Of Our (Fantasy) Lives." Still, it's always good to see another fantasy/supernatural/science fiction based series on TV. There are never too many of them.

I like it. But I am still a little concerned the concept is better suited for a movie. From the pilot, I think they're handling it well... but it didn't knock me on my feet like the Grimm premiere did. No doubt Grimm's the better fairytale show.

white avenger agrees: According to what I've seen, "Grimm" doesn't start until this Friday, 10/28. But maybe was a pre-showing somewhere.
NBC is doing a thing where if you follow the official Grimm twitter, you can watch the pilot streaming on NBC.com.

Oh yeah, that's right, I heard that! Too bad I'm not on Twitter. So cool that you got to watch it but aaahhhh, don't tell me anything!! 😉

At first I was worries that they'd be too alike. Just from the previews it seems like Grimm might have too much horror & violence for my kiddos. Moreso than OUAT, but we'll see.

Grimm is a lot scarier than Once Upon a Time.
Just saw this and it was awesome, a really cool show. When it finished I wondered where the time went, I didn't want the pilot to end. I'm completely in love with fairytales, especially the old tales where it's not as merry as Disney makes it out to be. I think both the actresses did an awesome job, Ginnifer makes a great Snow White, and I especially liked the exchanges between Emma and her son. I honestly cant wait for more of this. And I saw the Grimm pilot and that show is just as good, darker, and I can't decide which is better. Though I'll definitely be keeping up with both.

Wasn't overly impressed with the first episode, thought it was a bit cheesy for me. I'll stick with it though as I like fairytales.

I like this much more than Grimm, which looks to be just a procedural with a twist.

In Once Upon A Time, the writing is much better and the acting miles ahead of Grimm. I especially like the Evil Queen/Regina and Rumpelstiltskin/ Mr. Gold. The Queen is delicious and especially shines in the fairytale scenes. Rumpelstiltskin is one creepy mofo, and him controlling the town as Mr. Gold is sheer genius on his part.

Is it wrong to say that I'm rooting for the Evil Queen. Asides from being... well, evil, she comes across as pretty sympathetic. I attribute this to good writing and the brilliant actress.

This show has yet to really pull me in. I really only like the Snow White/Teacher character because she's played by Ginnifer Goodwin who I love. So far I've found the show to be quite corny. I do hope it gets better though, and I hope Emma Caulfield shows up soon.

Loved the pilot but I agree it seems better suited as a movie.

After the second episode I would say it needs less time in flashbacks. I find the parts with enmma really interesting but the flashbacks are a bit too frequent

I loved the second episode. I liked the pilot. I loved episode 2. I just think there was a simple complexity about it... everything is deeper than it seems on the surface... and I like that.

I've been on a real fairytale kick lately so I am rather enjoying this. Although, I must say I find it more than a little awkward watching Emma in scenes with Ms. Blanchard...especially since she looks SO much older than her.

All in all I really enjoy it, it's like a little movie to look forward to every week.

She's supposed to look older than Ms. Blanchard, right? Since Ms. Blanchard has been frozen for 28 year and was probably what early 20s when she had Emma/ got frozen? Or did I confuse something in the plot?

I'm really liking this show! It's like candy though, sweet and not something I'd have every day. I love the concept though. I agree that it would've been well suited to the big screen.

I'm giving Grimm a try too and liking it so far.

She's supposed to look older than her, I just...I dunno, I'm not crazy about it. 😛

Haha! It is sort of an odd thing to deal with. Maybe at the end they'll find some way for the curse to be broken and return Emma as a baby to her parents?

Did anybody else notice Emma Caulfield in the last episode? You'd have to know who she plays in order to figure it out. 😉

I really like this show, although the fact that Prince Charming got himself mortally wounded is very upsetting to me. 😛

Does anyone know of a link to the series?
Is Jane Espenson still a writer for this series?

I've been hearing about this for quite awhile now, I'm glad it has come to fruition at last.
