I saw just now this picture of the series and I fell back into nostalgia. I was watching this series with my sister when I was a teenager, I really loved it a lot ! My sister have the DVDs. At one time this series had a great impact on me through literary quotes, musical culture and sports that are transmitted. I'm wondering if I will appreciate it so much today if I see it again. My favorite brother was Lucas ! What I loved him. But Nathan has a better evolution I find. For the girls, I liked Haley and Brooke a lot. Peyton I did not hate her but I never got to understand her I think. For couples, I was a Brucas fan ! I remember many beautiful moments between them.

And you, you have known the series ?

I loved this series. I stopped watching though after Lucas and Peyton left . I saw some of the episodes in the later seasons, but it lost some of its flavor for me without Lucas.

I love him obviously 🙂

Seriously my sons name is James, but I was seriously considering naming him Lucas. Might still do it if I have another son lol

Plus Lucas is a beautilful name :)
Yes it is not the same thing after the departure of Lucas. We watched until the end with my sister but yes it was not the same desire.

I used to love this show. I stopped watching after season 5 I think, I couldn't get into it too much after the time jump. But I remember being obsessed with the first couple of seasons. I had a big 'ol crush on Nathan lol. And Peyton, but at the time I didn't think it was a crush.

Funny story the actress that plays Peyton actually filmed a movie in my town a couple summers ago and I had the opportunity to meet her (I knew some of the people on set), but turns out I had to go out of town that weekend. I was super sad.

"I am the master of my destiny, the captain of my soul" .. Oh my god I adore this replica, my favorite of the series 🙄

I used to watch the show and tried the post HS seasons but stopped after season 6. I should finish the show one day.

My favorite character was Brooke and I shipped Brucas. 🙂

What I see we all had trouble after the high school years. Surely for several reasons. As far as I was concerned, it was because I did not identify myself with characters who had such great professional careers. It was not realistic. But I finished the series haha 😀

My girlfriend liked this show. As I got her watching various stuff I liked, including Buffy, I said I'd give it a go.

Watching it as an adult I did find myself thinking most of the characters were brain dead. However I did end up enjoying it and got swept up in the stories. The school shooting and also the death of Q were actually incredibly moving and well done.

I think she's the same as you guys though because she lost interest in rewatching after the time jump. So we didn't actually get to Lucas leaving. Can't see the show having much to offer after that. The family dynamic of Lucas and Nathan was the pillar of the show.

I liked the time jump.

Even though Peyton was my favorite character, I didn't stop watching after she and Lucas left because we still had 60% of the main characters along with newer awesome characters like Jamie and Quinn.

Even though I haven't watched it in years, I don't plan on rewatching it in the foreseeable future, got better things to do.

I think that you should watch it until the end of season 9, you are a first time viewer so it might pleasantly surprise you 🙂

I loved OTH.
My favorite character was Brooke. I adored her. She was so relatable and had a wonderful character evolution.
I totally shipped Brucas. I could never get into Leyton because Peyton was just absolutely terrible. I couldn't stand her. She was a terrible friend and was constantly having a pity party.
But the OTP of the show was definitely Naley. That was true love right there. Nathan really turned out to be a good man, husband, and father. I really enjoyed their story because sometimes your first love can be your last love, and I think the show did a good job with them.

I actually liked the time jump. It was fresh and added some character depth since they were older.
I don't think they were all super successful. Haley was a teacher in NC, it is one of the worst states regarding salaries for teachers. Sure, she was married to an almost basketball star, but he was paralyzed- so they were struggle bussing it at the beginning of s5.
Lucas was also a struggling writer employed as a basketball coach in NC (not paid well, I promise)
Peyton was completely lost as usual.
I think the only successful one at this point was Brooke.

I didn't mind when Peyton and Lucas left because I hate Peyton and I loathe Peyton and Lucas as a couple. Honestly, I was glad to see them go. The only sad part was losing the brother dynamic. That was the premise and heart of the show. But, I think they did well by adding Quinn and Clay and I just adored both of them.
I also enjoyed that with the time jump they actually allowed Nathan and Haley's kid to be apart of the show, so many shows just forget that main characters have children and just pretend like the kids don't exist. That irks me lol. So I think the show but Jamie in the cast very well.

Yeah I don't understand Peyton me too. Brucas <3
I watched the first season when it aired, and stopped somewhere in season 2. I loved Nathan and Haley. I never saw any of the later seasons and I actually had thought the show was canceled long before the end. Lol.

I did go back like 2 years ago to try and rewatch the show. I think mIm got like 6 episodes in and gave up. Lol.

I had a big 'ol crush on Nathan lol.

Lol. I had a crush on Nathan too, I thought he was so hot. Lol. Aww that sucks! That would have been cool if you met her.

I enjoyed OTH. My favorites were Brooke, Haley and Nathan. I disliked Lucas and Peyton so I didn't mind at all when they left the show, plus I thought theside characters were fun. Haley and Nathan made a sweet pair and I appreciate that they made it throughout. I was never a fan of any pair with Lucas; I though his partners frequently got the worst of him.

I've never seen the whole show, but I did love Nathan and Haley for a while, I thought they were a great couple and with great chemistry.
I didn't mind Lucas, but I can't remember loving him either. I thought he was a bit whiny at times.

I hated Peyton, ugh, glad I wasn't around whenever she came back.
I think I disliked Brooke at first but then started liking her, she seemed to grow a lot during the show.
