I loved OTH.
My favorite character was Brooke. I adored her. She was so relatable and had a wonderful character evolution.
I totally shipped Brucas. I could never get into Leyton because Peyton was just absolutely terrible. I couldn't stand her. She was a terrible friend and was constantly having a pity party.
But the OTP of the show was definitely Naley. That was true love right there. Nathan really turned out to be a good man, husband, and father. I really enjoyed their story because sometimes your first love can be your last love, and I think the show did a good job with them.
I actually liked the time jump. It was fresh and added some character depth since they were older.
I don't think they were all super successful. Haley was a teacher in NC, it is one of the worst states regarding salaries for teachers. Sure, she was married to an almost basketball star, but he was paralyzed- so they were struggle bussing it at the beginning of s5.
Lucas was also a struggling writer employed as a basketball coach in NC (not paid well, I promise)
Peyton was completely lost as usual.
I think the only successful one at this point was Brooke.
I didn't mind when Peyton and Lucas left because I hate Peyton and I loathe Peyton and Lucas as a couple. Honestly, I was glad to see them go. The only sad part was losing the brother dynamic. That was the premise and heart of the show. But, I think they did well by adding Quinn and Clay and I just adored both of them.
I also enjoyed that with the time jump they actually allowed Nathan and Haley's kid to be apart of the show, so many shows just forget that main characters have children and just pretend like the kids don't exist. That irks me lol. So I think the show but Jamie in the cast very well.
