In Bad Girls, when Buffy joins Faith in robbing the shop and adopting the "want, take, have" motto! Her becoming a "bad girl" happened too fast, and breaking in and stealing was really out of character!

Giles leaving when Buffy came back from the dead was a little bit OOC, as was Buffy going mental at Faith when they were both on Angel. They always seemed to make Buffy OOC on Angel, was a bit irritating.

Xander not telling his friends that he summoned Sweet even though he knew people were dying because of it.

This is what I think is out of character [for Buffy]:
Buffy having sex with Spike. No, seriously. I did not see that coming. If they had slowly eased us into the Spuffy pairing than that would've been different. But it was all 'wham, bam, thank you ma'am'. To me, in my personal opinion, they did not handle it right at all and I really do think that that's why I'm so against that particular coupling. There was no buildup leading to...that. But that's just me. It's been a long time since I rewatched Season Six so I could be wrong.

Not to argue about your opinion, but I think there was a build up. Ever since season 4, and even before than. Even from the second Spike saw Buffy dancing in the Bronze, there was always a sexual tension there, for many seasons. It didn't happen right away. That's the whole point in the Spuffy relationship, in my opinion, the journey. It didn't just happen out of nowhere, there were many steps, many emotions, many little moments which some were good and some were bad. Spuffy is not all about the sex. It's the things they go through, the mixed feelings, all of the confusion by both Buffy and Spike.
That's how I see it anyway.

Couldn't agree more. Spuffy really is about the journey, it didn't come out of nowhere and that's why I think it's incredibly realistic (well except the fact that it's love story between a vampire and a slayer ^^)

I'm probably gonna get people annoyed by saying this, but Buffy and Spike during the AR scene. I just felt the whole thing was out of character... Really forced so Spike had a reason to go find his soul, and to remind us he was *bad*, lol. Also Giles in S7, wtf happened to that dude?

Buffy trying to kill Anya: As she said, it had occured to her before, and you can see it in Villains when she learns that Anya is a demon again. I think she choose to act rashly because it makes it easier: she doesn't want to think too much about that because she knows that if she does so she's gonna let her live and as a slayer she can't let her consciously kill people.
Buffy beating Spike in the alley: Buffy is pretty messed up at this point, she hates herself and she takes it out on him. It's horrible for him, but I don't think it's OOC from season 6 Buffy.
Xander leaving Anya at the altar: I think on the contrary that it's totally IC. He's a really insecure person, and he's terrified that he may someday be like his father.

Yes, definitely.
Xander doing the spell in OMWF is the one example taht comes to mind. It was a huge flaw in the writing. The actor didn't act guilty up until the scene where Xander admitted he did the spell and even then he's more embarrassed than guilty for casuing people to die.

The obvious Giles ones have been mentioned, but I also thought it was OOC of him to agree, even initially, to undertake the Crucamentium in "Helpless." By then, Giles had too much affection and respect for Buffy to inject her with toxins without her knowledge (practically an unthinkable invasion).

Angel & Spike were out of character in every single scene in The Girl In Question. Especially since the previous episode ended with us wondering if Angel was going evil, only to have him act like a Buffy-obsessed clown in TGIQ.
I always thought Spike falling for Buffy was OOC... I know it was built up and wasn't an overnight thing but it always seemed too unlikely for me, I get the obsession part of his love, but it seemed that they tried to make it seem like it was real love he felt for her as the story continued which I just didn't accept, he was a soulless vampire, so this kind of altruistic love from him just didn't seem appropiate for him, in my opinion.
