Overrated vs Underrated (by KD)

Overrated - Cheerleaders, AMERICA, War, Terroism, Money, Porn, Religion, goths/emos... ipods..
Underrated - Charmed, Stargate, individuality,

Agree with FD on Roswell, another thing you almost never hear about anymore or seems to be taken super seriously.

With WWP on Napoleon Dynamite too, although it's my duty to say NO WAY!!! to "bangel" 😉 hehe

Underrated

Me, or Alister Jack Cooling
All my life people have had an impression and expectation of me, and constantly i beat that, yet i'm still understimated.
I've beaten odds some would not even face, i've done things people would think crazy, i've dealt with issues that some people only read about or see in movies, and i'm still here.

LOL Al, Al, Al..... such a modest guy ;-)
over-rated:
being professional
math
following the rules

under-rated:
acting crazy
guessing
dreaming big

Too true. I mean it would be better if she had any real talent. But she doesn't. Why do people like her?

Apparently not everyone is overly intelligent on this planet.

Now that I'm thinking about it I could make a whole list of just over and underrated celebrities...

but maybe later...cause im feeling rather lazy right now...

Overrated:

Survivor
John Lennon
Jay Leno
Engineers
MBAs
Starbucks (any product)

Underrated:

Starbucks is way overrated
Overrated:

Dave Chapelle and The Chapelle's Show-I don't know why there are so many people who think this is the funniest guy ever. I saw his show a few times and I don't find him funny at all. The only part of the show that is a little funny is when he does "When keepin it real goes wrong" and that's because it's some other actors doin the skit and not him.

Crash- Everyone was telling me "You have to watch this movie," so I was expecting it to be something huge. Although I admit that the movie is good, I was expecting it to be a lot better.

Charmed- I used to watch this show but after season 4 it started to suck so bad. It only got worse and worse. How it's still on the air, I don't know.

Paris Hilton- She has no talent whatsoever. All she can say is, "That's hot."

Underrated:

Charisma Carpenter- She's a good actress and I don't understand why she hasn't appeared on more stuff. Her lifetime movie was okay but the only reason I watched it, is because she was on it. To tell the truth I wouldn't even watch it again. Her role in Veronica Mars is cool though. I hope she appears in other movies or shows in the future.

King of Queens- This show is HILARIOUS. No other sitcom has ever had me laughing so hard. How does it not get more recognition?? It has already been on for eight seasons but I hardly see any stuff about it in magazines or anything like most of the other shows.

That's all I have for now. I'll post more up soon.

I agree about Crash.
My right big toe is underrated. Though many people can attest to its ferocity.

Me left big toe is overrated. Not nearly as effective as the right.

overrated-
revenge
country music
finishing stuff on time

underrated-
thanking someone who made you smile/laugh
sitting outside at the park and enjoying the day
blue grass

Lost is overrated. I mean, how much waiting around on a beach can you watch before you get bored...and the highlight of each episode is something almost coming out of the woods and lots of attractive people almost getting together....yawn...

Underrated

Curb Your Enthusiasm
This is one of THE funniest programmes on TV. Larry David is an observational genius, he is very witty and really intelligent.
The supporting cast are often great, Cheryl, his 'Wife' is superb and extremely beautiful, Jeff, His Agent/best friend, is just like a Best Friend should be, and the play between the play between these two is hilarious often.
Susie, Jeff's wife, hates Larry, hates Jeff and has the mouth of a navvie, coming up with the BEST insult from any show i have ever seen....its explicit so i'll have to star it....'carwash c**t'. It means absolutely nothing, but its just awesomely funny in her delivery.
The Calibre of guest star is beyond any other TV show ever created.
The Likes of Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen as friends of the Davids, Mel Brookes and his Lovely Wife Anne Bancroft(before her untimely death- twas a sad day when THE Mrs Robinson passed🙁) doing that magnificent season where Larry played Mr Max Bialystock in the stage version of 'The Producers' ohh man i could go on for like ever.
Seinfeld was in its way a masterpiece that most people would never have the ability to at the very least come a close second, but this does a Frazier(ok ones a spin off and ones a different show) and beats the predessor hands down. I hope this show continues for a long time to come.
THIS is Reality TV at its best, even though its a staged show, so is most Reality TV!!!
IF you have never seen this then i recommend that you do.

Medium
Another show i simply love. Patricia Arquette is truly endearing, the stories are often intriguing, the acting is never short of spot on and the premise is awesome.
I won't lie to you, i do have a couple of 'bug-bears' regarding this show.
The Husband - Why does he ALWAYS try to suggest her dreams are nothing more then innocent dreams. Yes i am aware that not all her dreams are Psychic traffic, but i'm sure he should be intuitive enough by now to know if Allison thinks its something Joe should accept that'.
Allison - The DA Devalos and Det Scanlon both truly believe in Allisons ability so when she is in a room with them and has a premonition that we all know, and she knows will lead to some case, why does she just say i'm fine and walk away rather then discussing whats just happened.....ohh and speaking of that, Devalos, i understand him coming from a Legal POV, but sometimes him questioning her dream validity is a little annoying. Granted he might not be able to do anything legally, but surely by now he must trust her instincts, so should be a little more supportive then 'I have blah blah and blah blah breathing down my neck, what would you like me to do Allison'.
OK, rant over, and trust me these are the ONLY issues i have with this programme. By the way, Allisons middle daughter is absolutley adorable.

Commander in Chief
I started watching this recently and its a really good show.
I've heard absolutely no press whatsoever so i went itno it without any foreknowledge and assuming its a West Wing with a Woman, it really is not.
Geena Davis give a great performance as The First Female President and The First 'Gentleman' is played well too. Its kinda amusing how people think about the possibility of a Woman in the Oval office, but this show is exploring the ramifications of such a thing, rather then just forgetting that. I think its also great that the central theme is Family, not the President. This show could have been royally crap, but Rob Lurie(creator) has made all the right moves.
I couldnt have this comment without Donald Sutherland as the Speaker of the House. What a magnificent actor playing an equally magnificent character. This underhanded way he is trying to embarrass 'Mac' but how she fights and how rather then being bitter, you actually see he is impressed by her is great.

Wow, i've gone on abit, i promise now, only one more🙂
Josie and the Pussycats - Movie
This is one of my fave movies, but didnt get much critical or public support.
The dialogue is fresh and funny and very pacey, the three women are incredibly beautiful, and the Music is awesome.
Dujour, the band they replace, including Breckin Meyer, Donald Faison and SETH GREEN are too awesome, just listen to 'Back Door Lover' and watch the scene on the plane....
Alan Cumming and Parker Poser are excellent(as always - two fine fine actors) as the bad guys, with some more of the funniest moments.
But THE highlight for me is Tara Reid. two reason, 'Happy and You know it' and 'Everywhere at once'....you have to have seen the movie to know, but seriously, these are gold!

Ok, see not that painful🙂

Overrated: Seinfeld. Except for a few (very few) flashes of brilliance, this show was filled with characters I would have gone postal on about 5 minutes after meeting. I know that was the point, but I just couldn't watch it. I did like the "Soup Nazi" and the "Master of the Domain" bits...but not a lot of any of the rest of it.
